We had someone come out and give us a free estimate. We were pleased with the price and warranty and look of the product so we set up an appointment for the job. There was one guy who came to do the whole job. It took 2 days. He removed the old tub, replaced the drywall, installed the new tub and acrylic surround and new fixtures. It's our only bathroom so he cleaned up everything before he left the first day. After the job was done, he did an excellent job cleaning up after himself. We are thrilled with how it turned out. It's absolutely beautiful. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a bathroom remodel.

Very well. We were expecting several weeks before installation, but they scheduled a date within three weeks of our order. The two guys were there when they were supposed to be, removed the old tub and installed the new shower without any problems. The entire job took about a day and a half. Very courteous and professional. Very pleased with the results.

The Village Craftsmen / Bath Planet of Northeastern Ohio crew was professional and responsive to our last minute changes to the design. Considering these unplanned structural changes, the crew was easy to work with and the extra cost seemed more than reasonable. We chose to replace the existing built-in linen cabinet and vanity with new Bertch hickory cabinets and matching light bar, a Kohler two-door medicine cabinet to replace the wall-inset mirror, and Invictus vinyl flooring, all from Hartville Hardware. This one-stop shopping made it really easy to match the color of our pre-existing tile to what would be our new flooring and cabinets. All of that was $4,400 of the total cost of the bathroom remodel. These decisions and cost were done outside of Village Craftsmen involvement, however the installation of these items was included in the initial Village Craftsmen estimate. The wet area is a Bath Planet design with a bathtub with removable section for stepping through, and a shower with a spray hose. There are many enclosure patterns to choose from, which are picked out of a catalog when getting the initial estimate from the Bath Planet representative who came to our home. We also chose oil-rubbed bronze Moen fixtures and grab bars (Brantford style) that give the bathroom a very sophisticated look. The work for the demolition of cabinets, bulkheads and flooring, and replacing of the drywall, was done expertly and quickly. The Village Craftsmen assessed the condition of legacy pipes, and water-damaged floor, and replaced what needed to be replaced as par for the course -- not cutting corners, but doing it right the first time. The total cost was an initial down payment of $5,100 and another $6,400 at the end of the eight-day job. We are not do-it-yourselfers by any means, so we were happy to put the work into the experienced hands of the Village Craftsmen crew, who did an excellent job remodeling our bathroom. We couldn't be happier with the result and believe it was well worth the cost. -- Karla Tipton, Barberton, Ohio

Two day project went very well. Crew was communicative, punctual, professional, and took the time to make sure our house was kept clean with minimal disruption.

gave $1077, deposit for $7181 job On 10/6/16. Cancelled job and I cannot get my money back. They did not come out to measure and nothing invested other than a sales call. Sales agent Greg assured me I could get my deposit back as long as his company did not come out for measurements and no parts fabricated. There contract states this precisely and they refuse to give me my deposit back. They never answer the phone. I did make contact on three occasions and was told I amount of luck. Now I cannot make contact with anyone. The manager I spoke with said his name was Jerod Arilia. I have called at least 20 times over the last four weeks.

Last fall, this company furnished and installed several new interior doors and did some framing and drywall work. Installation of one remaining door and installation of a plywood panel that they had carpeted was not done as my wife and I left for Florida for the winter. I was told that they would complete the work when we returned so I went ahead and paid them for all the work (completed and not done). When we returned to Akron in June, I called and then emailed them, asking them to complete the job. They did not respond to any of my numerous calls and emails. Finally, I had to engage and pay another firm to do the unfinished work.

They did a good job. The work was on. They had to come back to do few minor things but other than that, I would rate them pretty good. It was nice. It was not part of the deal but they did it. The gentleman that came out, named Matt, was fantastic. He was always on time. He would call before he would come or if he was going to be delayed. Every step of the way, he would call me because I was at home most of the time and asked me if I like it, if it was what I was looking for and if it works for me. We went with them because we got them from Angie’s List.

I would first like to say that the worker, Matt that did most of the work was punctual and did a really nice job. He was a nice guy.
From the beginning things were not as we were told they would be. Micheal is the man that came to our house to sell us the remodel.  He said that he would be in to check on things as the work was being done. ( That never happened.) In fact when I tried to call him when no one else would answer my phone calls he didn't call me back either.
Sam is the guy I talked to who is suppose to be in charge of managing things and people.  Well Sam is not a manager and doesn't get back to you unless you call at least 3 or 4 times and also leave messages with the secretary.
Here is a list of the things that went wrong. They put in the wrong size shower. ( YES !!! It was suppose to be a 34 inch shower and I go a 32 inch shower.)( This caused my new special order custom vanity to not fit the way I wanted it to.) When Matt was suppose to put in the new flooring, guess what?!?!  They quit making that flooring and I was suppose to pick a new floor out of a book with about 12 different types. ( WHich I did so this mess could be done!)  Then I had to wait 1 to 2 weeks before my glass shower doors would be ready!  I waited over  two weeks and no phone call from them.  So I called them.  Oh they were in but I had to wait until they had someone who had time to install them.  So, guess what?! They day they are suppose to install them I get a call and they didn't have the hardware to install them. REALLY?????? Then it was my vacation and so we came home to no shower. ( We had been without a shower now for 5 weeks!)
When I got home from vacation I called them and it took 5 days before they could come abd install the glass doors.
When I took a shower the next day, I couldn't get the shower to turn off all the way.  My husband noticed that the rubber part holding the glass in was falling out.  So I called  and Sam told me someone would call me and be out to fix it that day.  I specifically asked if they would call me because I needed to do an quick errand that day.  Well someone showed up but guess what, no call and I wasn't home. So that was 2 weeks ago and finally after 8 phone calls, someone came today and fixed everything.  I am not holding my breath.
My suggestion is if you decide to go with them.  Don't pay them everything until you are completely satisfied.  That was a huge mistake for us.  NEVER AGAIN!!! We should have held back 1/3 of the payment until everything was done.

The shower is great, and we are very happy with it. On the other hand, the sales and office staff at the Toledo facility are pretty poor. Numerous calls to the salesman and office staff not returned. Initial time frame missed. Just a poor experience. I would use Bath Planet again, but would work with the Fairlawn office and hope for a better sales and scheduling experience, and I would request the install team that we had. As I said, the installation team was excellent, and we are happy with the product we got, but it was frustrating to deal with the office._x000D_|

This acrylic liner fit perfectly - had a skid proof bottom.  The worker came and did all the measurements and answered all of my questions.  The tub liner came with a new stopper and overflow. I could not have the tub removed (it would have been cheaper to have a new tub) - but it would have damaged the surround and the floor and I am too old to spend more money on the bathroom when all I needed was a new looking tub which I  now have.

It took the installer a half day to install - he cleaned up and left no mess and there was no smell either.

They did a great job! Heather was the scheduler. Jared came out and was responsive with any changes to the initial plans. They responded very quickly to the initial purchase better than any of the other vendors. They called us the next day asking to schedule when they could come out. There was only a slight delay in getting the plans back and their responsiveness was very good. Our master bath is the only sore spot with selling our house. The plans they provided have really helped potential buyers see its potential. For a quick plan with a budget, it was a great deal.

Work went great, looks wonderful.  But trying to contact them, well that is an experience.  Leave messages and no calls returned.  Wanted them to do more work for me, looks like it is not happening.

Went well overall.  Previously had them remodel our kitchen as well.  Only issue I felt was cleanliness of the plumber and drywall helper.  Jerry (main contractor) was very meticulous and always cleaned up after himself.

The salesman came and we told him what we needed. We let him know what we would be doing ourselves and the products that we would be purchasing. They are going to provide a shower and we have already purchased a vanity. They are installing ceramic tile that we purchased. The salesman was very pleasant. There was no hard sale and he was good to work with.
