The professionals at Superior Drain were friendly. They gave details about how the job would be completed. I felt their pricing was fair for the work required to install a new drain line in my front yard. I would definitely hire Superior Drain in the future.

We have used Superior Drains for over 20 years, both at our home, and for rental work. When our home water heater started leaking, we checked some other Angie's list plumbers with discount coupons, just to (pardon the pun) test the water on prices. After a few calls, it became clear that the stated price would not actually get the job done without extra costs. My husband then called Superior at around 10:00 AM, explained the problem and with one measurement for tank height, was given a firm price by phone. $810.00 for 40 gal gas water heater, which was still lower than others with deals. The young lady said she would have plumber call when he was on the way, and in 15 min. she called back to say the truck was coming.Tim and Anthony arrived about 10:25 AM, introduced themselves, and immediately began work. Both were very friendly, and professional.By 11:45 new tank was in, old one gone, and they cleaned up their work area, leaving with a smile a handshake, and a thank you for being loyal customers. By 1:00 PM we had all the hot water we needed. This company has given us years of outstanding service. We would highly recommend them for any plumbing or drain work you might need.

Jake and Anthony were amazing. They arrived on time, spent time trying to understand the problem, use a camera to find all of the issues with the downspout pipes, and came up with a simple solution. We are new to the area and this was our first time with Superior Drainage. They have a customer for life. I highly recommend.

Superior Drainage did an awesome job. We just bought a house and found out the rear storm drain for the gutter was clogged and not draining to the street. They installed new PVC pipe and connected it to the front storm drain.

We had no hot water the day after Christmas. I called that morning and someone was here in about an hour! He identified the issue within a minute. Had the part and repaired it. Nice guy. A little pricey but I expected that given a Saturday and holiday weekend. I'd refer them and call them again myself. Thank you

It took 4 weeks to get the repair done.  The first couple were because I emailed them multiple times and never got a response.  I eventually decided to call and they said they never got the emails from Angie's List.  The rest of the time was them coming out to look and then getting scheduled.  Big deal no, but not great service either.
I have MS so getting up early for me is an issue.  They scheduled the appointment at 8am.  I asked if they needed anyone to be home, they said no, they would just do all the work outside.  Needless to say at 8:15a the doorbell rings and again at 9:10a asking for a check for $400 as they were done.  Big deal no, but very annoying given they said they wouldn't do that.
The estimate was $400.  Since until they started digging the extent of the job wasn't really known, this seemed reasonable for an estimate.
However, the actually work done was 55 minutes of plumbers time and $5 in material.
The work done seems fine but I can't say I feel basically $400 for an hour of plumbing work was a good deal.  It feels like that estimate was a minimum only to be adjusted up if the work was a lot more than anticipated, but not down if it was less.  But I agreed to the estimate so I paid the $400.
Bottom line is I rated it a B overall because I can't say they did anything horribly wrong but they took a month to come, ignored the request to not wake me up early due to my health, and $400 per hour for plumbing work still doesn't feel like a bargain.

Al from Superior came out to change the wax ring in our first floor bath, since I thought it was leaking. I also wanted him to snake the upstairs tub and sink, since they were slow draining.  Turns out that when he pulled the toilet, the line was filled.  We went to the basement and checked, and he also went outside and pulled the lid on the septic to diagnose that it wasn't a septic problem--instead, it was the line from the house to the septic that needed to be snaked.  Al had all the tools and got right to work.  As soon as he ran the snake and broke through, you could hear water draining.  He installed the wax ring and reset the toilet, then went up and checked the tub.  One of the sinks still needed to be snaked--it did have a clog that wasn't part of the main drain problem.
I have used Superior many times before--last year I think I had the whole company at my house for an outside drain problem that was pouring water into my house.  They must have worked two full days and a half day on Saturday to fix the problem (blocked combined drain in neighborhood, neighbor's sump pumped into my house--it was an expensive mess!)

They were great to work with.  They installed my sump pump for thousands less than two other estimates.  They are highly regarded by the City of Cuyahoga Falls.  They were in and out in a day. The quote did not include a lot of work that was done and they did not raise the price for the repair.  They repairs were done well, and the sump pump passed city inspection.  I thank these contractors very much for making my life easier as I sold this home.

On Thursday, 3-19-2015, I took a telephone call from Dominion East Ohio Gas Co.  The noticed a dramatic increase in the gas usage for our home.  We did not smell gas.  The next day, Friday 3-20-2015, an gas inspector came to the house and tested everything.  Before he got into the house, he found large leak outside in the line between the house and the meter - somewhere.  Our gas line is more than 500 ft long.   >>:-(    Yikes!.  Now, it is Friday, of course.  That means overtime wages for the service company employees if they do the work on Saturday.  Decisions, decisions!  Expensive ones.  I decided to pay the overtime fee - nearly $1,000.00 more than if I were to wait until Monday to have the work done.  The gas company rep explained the problem, and told us, as we knew, that repairs would be at our expense.
I called Superior which was on the Gas Companies list of appropriately licensed businesses.  Not all plumbers are licensed to work underground.  I found out while trying to make an appointment that two problems exist now .
  1.   Since Dominion has been barred from working inside houses, they have still found a way to make money and 'get around' that.  They send us all those nasty, threatening letters about the cost of repairs, they make contracts with plumbing companies to service the 'priority' calls that result from homeowners who have succumbed to the awful predictions of the gas company, and that means:
  2.  that those companies aren't able to shift their schedules to include emergencies such as mine.  Two major companies who have done important work for us in the past told us they wouldn't be able to help until Tuesday, March 24, 2015.  And, they meant it.
I called Dominion and asked for a list of their qualified service companies, and chose to call Superior.  Lucky, lucky, lucky.  They arrived early Saturday morning, and before noon my house was warm again.  Thank you, Superior.

Dave showed up on time to do an estimate and e-mailed me a quote the next morning. On the install date, Dave came out right on time and reviewed what work was to be done and Ray (the installer) came a few minutes later. He broken through the basement floor, dug a hole, cut and installed a pipe into the existing drain, tested it, and cemented the floor back. When done, he removed all the extra dirt and clean the floor; took about 5 hours. Then Ray spent about an hour ripping out about 5 feet of tree roots from a drain pipe along my driveway.
They did great work and I would use them again.

I live in a 97 year old house that has the original clay sewer pipes. I have Superior come out 2 or 3 times a year to clean the tree roots out of the drain. They usually come out either the day I call or the day after. I called on a Friday afternoon & scheduled an appointment for the following Monday at 3:00. The technician arrived between 3:15 & 3:30. It took less than an hour to clean out the drain. When I called Superior the first time several years ago it cost $95. The price has only gone up $15 since then & I've never had any problems. Will continue to call them when the drain backs up.
