Earlier today, I woke up to a homeowner nightmare with a freezer that had gone out with food defrosting and hundreds of dollars melting away in front of my eyes. As my husband transferred the contents of the freezer into coolers with ice for interim storage, I called in a panic looking for help. Initially, I was told they were unsure if someone could arrive same day but they would do their best. When I called for an update, they had no one confirmed. I then received a call and technicians were en route. Two men arrived and efficiently and professionally addressed my problem in short order. I came to find out at the end of the appointment that one of the gentleman was actually the owner who understood our plight and came out himself as there were no additional available workers. I would wholeheartedly recommend this top notch company.

Selby is a really nice guy and did a great job. He returned my call within an hour of leaving a message and fixed my dishwasher the next day. Couldn't be happier with the work and the very reasonable price.

Selby actually found the leak that a previous company had said didn't exist. I accepted it until y son was visiting and also smelled the gas. It was an old pipe and needed a special fitting, which Selby found and replace in about 24 hours. The price was more than reasonable. I will definitely call Selby's again - for advice as well as repairs.

They worked in a quiet, focused, professional manner and restored everything that had to be moved to perform this job to their original positions. They took the old machines, as well as the packaging for the new ones and didn't leave a trace of work for me! Selby patiently explained how to use the new machines and answered all my questions. He made sure I understood the manuals and supplemental materials that came with them. The price for all this work, including the new products he purchased for me and installed was incredibly reasonable. I am so grateful to Selby and Andrew. They really care about their customers and the quality of their work is consistently excellent, beyond expectations! I have relied on Selby to take care of all the appliances in my house for over five years. Everything he repairs or replaces works efficiently, actually better than ever.

Selby fixed my drier. Good guy. On time. Job done right. The repair was fairly easy to diagnose and correct. But setting the appointment, the repair of the drier and payment were easy and professional. Both good attributes. Call Selby.

Badly. I wouldn't have him back if he was the last man in Ohio with a toolbox.. The man was rude and belligerent from the moment he arrived. And I try to shop locally. His shop is about 10 houses away. 1. He said he would call before he came, since he gave two different days he might arrive. He did not call so i could secure the dogs 2. Berated me because a handyman had installed a dryer vent Selby said was too long. Talked over me and repeated my words until I had to tell him yelling at me was ineffective. 3. Called me to the basement so I could watch him shake the dryer vent out onto the floor so the contents blasted everywhere. I had to clean it up. 4. Told me the call was $75. No parts were needed. Raised it to $80 when I said I was writing a check. Shame on Angie's List. If your vendors are working off the books, that should be stated in their ads.

Mr. Selby came the day after we called, assessed the problem very quickly and offered us two solutions. We took the cheaper one and he was done. Quick, honest, efficient, and knew what he was doing. I'm calling him first next time!

Would definitely contact Selby again for appliance repairs. He was honest, very fair in his pricing and went above and beyond to explain the repair to us and our options. He did not try to repair something that we were better off replacing. He did what he could to keep the stove going, without having to go right out and purchase a new oven. Thank you for being a true gentleman and for renewing my faith in repairmen.

Selby is personable and professional. He has been in the service/repair business a long time and knows his 'stuff'! The price was extremely reasonable for this day and age...especially since he had to travel quite a distance. I felt confidant in his advice and repair.

I called Selby Appliance based on reviews on Angie's List and I'm glad I did! I called late on Tuesday, they came out Wednesday morning, ran a diagnostic on my washer and identified the problem, ordered the part and installed it on Thursday afternoon. Very polite and courteous, explained the problem to me and worked with my schedule! I felt the price, for two trips to my house, the part and labor, was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend and use again!

It went wonderful. He is always on time. His prices are great. Very nice and gives great advice on his current favorite appliances to buy. Can sometimes tell me the problem with my appliance over the phone! When we moved we weren't sure if he would come to our new neighborhood but he did never charging us for the extra mileage.

Very pleasant and professional from my initial phone call until they left. I called late on a Thursday and they were able to come out Friday morning. They were on time and very friendly. They were able to diagnose the problem was not with my dryer, but with the electrical system in the house I rent.
