The people know the products, and they happened to have a good sale, that's why we originally went there.

We first went to the store to discuss the work. They sent someone later to take measurements. Then we picked out the granite through their subcontractor. The service was great and we were pleased.

I had a lot off issues and the deck turned out badly. The service they offer, is not worth it. Lowe's will never get another dime of my money. I have cancelled my card.

What happened was they didn't follow the instruction book on the installation and just stuck the hose down the discharge tube and didn't attach it to the wall. After a couple usages of the washing machine the hose popped out and flooded the laundry room, my kitchen, went into the duct work, there was a heating vent on the floor, the laundry room when into the ceiling. I got the first bill for the water damage, when the cleaned up the water damage and that was $2200. I would image it's going to be another two to three to clean up and replace the baseboards and stuff like that.

It took longer than I thought it would take, but they did a very good job. The guys that came out to install the countertop were very good and they were able to place it without causing any damage.

Window Service

They had to come out several times to measure, and they were always on time and professional. My only complaints are with the quality of the installation, and that the window itself feels like a much lower quality than I expected (I was told it was the and quot;upgradedand quot; model).
Every time I open or close the window, I feel like it is going to break because the sash lift is so flimsy and visibly bends when moving the window position.
The caulking around the window is really sloppy. It hasn't even been a month, and there are huge gaps in the caulk. The caulk on the outside has completely separated from the house on one part.
The window doesn't feel secure. There is a significant gap (I can see quite a bit of light coming through) between the the edge of the window and the jamb. Because of this, the window wobbles back and forth and locking it seems to really stress the plastic around the locks.
There is also a huge gap below the window, under the alumninum cap on the outside.
I really like Lowe's for some things, but I will not be going to them again for installation.

Overall the floor went well, but the removal of the toilet and sink did not go as well because they did not use a plumber to try and install it back. The bolts were not correct and they were coming out of the floor about an inch and a half and the sink was rocking after installation. They should have stated that they could not do the work and needed a plumber vs. trying to do it themselves. This was done by a subcontractor that Lowe's uses for the work.

I wasn't really happy with them, but there was nothing much I could do about it. The molding that was placed was a little rough. It wasn't done as it should have been done. I was a recovering from hernia and I didn't have a chance to thoroughly check as they went long. They were punctual.

We shopped around and we went with Lowe's because a friend used them for kitchen remodeling and we were pleased with their results. It was professionally handled. It was completed last month while Lowe's was installing windows for us. There were some cost overruns and some delays. I did ask for one major change because they didn't measure the cabinets quite right. He corrected it. We had some questions about the sub-contractors that Lowe's hires. Lowe's screens their people very well and we had some disagreements with them. Lowe's stepped into the breach. They have been very careful about monitoring the progress of this project and they have been very helpful. We chose Lowe's because of the high visibility of their name and they stand behind their work. That was a critical part of our decision. We didn't want to get involved when contractors had problems in the background. We relied on them doing what they say they are going to do. We were very happy with Lowe's. We had a few difficulties but we solved them. It just took time. The price was high but it could have been higher. We were resigned to the fact it was going to be expensive. I don't really have a price to compare it to. The punctuality was a problem; they didn't seem to be putting in a full day when they first started. Most of the time, they showed up when they said they would. Again, that was the sub-contractor, not Lowe's. They were friendly and courteous and generally on time. I would recommend them for a renovation project because of the liability and because they stand behind their word. They know how to do this and they bring common sense to the table.

Lowe's replaced the faulty new refrigerator, at no cost, with a working new refrigerator. It took several weeks, but I am happy with the service and would like to change my overall rating to B.

The installers were wonderful. My experience with them was good. They were absolutely the best that I’ve ever had. They were professional and detail-oriented. There were two guys, and the older one knew what he was doing. I could tell that he was very picky. They came in and checked for moisture in the corners because it is on a slab. He actually had to drill out extra space from my register; whoever built the house had just stuck the register in there, and it never fit right. They did little things like that. I noticed this because I had a Pergo floor installed in another room by another company, and there was just no comparison. The two floors were about the same size as the one that I had done earlier; moreover, their price was only $500 more for the two floors as compared to the one floor done earlier. It was an excellent price. I got a good deal and good quality. I think this particular Lowe’s group subcontracted the work, and I don’t really know their name. I would use Lowe’s again if I would only use these subcontractors though.

We shopped at Lowe's first and paid the $35.00 to get a detailed measurement. The measuring person from Command Carpet contacted us the next day and set up a measurement time. We went back into the Lowe's store after all the final measurement information had been forwarded to them (4 days). The salesman was able to give us a detailed quote right there. Since we had not looked anywhere else yet we were not going to sign up right there. The salesman dropped 10% off the total price at that point. We still said we were going to look around. We looked at Home Depot, National Carpet Outlet, and a local supplier. Lowe's had the best deal. We got their Stainmaster carpet with the premium Stainmaster pad (premuin pad was mandatory with the carpet). $4.77 per sq.ft was the list price for carpet and pad. We then paid for the carpet at lowe's. The carpet had to be ordered and Lowe's said we would be contacted by Command Carpet to schedule the install. 6 days later Command Carpet called to schedule the install. On installation day they arrived at 8:20am ready to go (2 people), Wife and I did all the prepwork (saved $400.00) so they got started right away. They were done at 2:00 pm. They cleaned up their messes and vacumed all the rooms. They both were very nice and answered all of our questions. We talked to them about the work while they were installing and they gave us some tips for keeping the carpet looking good for a long time. We did three rooms, stairs and a hallway with a frizie carpet. It turned out to be 1400 sq. ft. of carpet. It was a good experience. The toughest part was unhooking the stero/TV /reciever/speaker system in the living room and getting it all hooked up right again. We did stir up alot of dust while doing the tear out. The carpet comes up quick. The pad has many staples holding it down! We also did pull all staples out of the floor (that job was laborious) and shop vacuumed all rooms two of three times. When completed I recommend changing the filter on your furnace - it will be dirty. I would use Lowe's and Command Carpet again - no problems, great experience.

We went to many different places and the last place where we stopped by was at Lowe s. Al tough we have seen many appliance stores across the world, We haven t seen such knowledgeable people like the ones who work with Lowe s. They are more responsive than any of the other people. They are sweet. Really can t say anything bad about them. I can t say that the experience that I have had with Lowe s has been the same. But in that particular category was realIly good. I wIouln t buy if I had to pay someone. have . That was unexecpected beaucse they have the lowest bid of price. When you go around the world. You know that Lowe s is the place to go to.

I had good experiences both with the salesperson at Lowe's who pointed me in the direction of an energy efficient ceiling fan and accompanying light (also energy efficient) both items were very reasonable in price. The installer showed up on time and did a great job with the fan. But he found a way to make it work. He also recommended that he remove the wall dimmer switch and replace it with a regular switch as dimmers and ceiling fans do not work together well. In fact, it creates an annoying hum!

I assume Lowe's subcontracted this guy so I wouldn't use any of the subcontractors they recommend after this experience. I felt the quality of work with the toilet was a C and the tile floor was a B. Overall it was an average job. There was an oily fluid seeping out of the bottom of the toilet. It made me think the toilet wasn't installed properly. It was tough getting the guy to come out and fix the problem, and after he finally did and caulked the bottom, it looked ugly. Again, nothing against Lowe's but be careful of their subcontractors.
