"Thank you very much for the good review! We are happy that you were satisfied with the work you received. We look forward to working with you in the future!"
"We apologize that you were unsatisfied with the work we did in your home. You should have let us know that you wanted the sanding done. We usually do all of the prep work ourselves as a courtesy. You told us it was done, and we didn't see where it needed anything. Also, if you weren't happy with the work that was done you should have given us the chance to come and fix it, and not just given a bad review. When paint is not fully dried you can't see everything that is wrong right away, but that is why we will come back out as many times as needed for our customers to be happy."
I purchased the "Big Deal" for one room painted for $89.00.
Mr. Kane painted the walls of the sunroom. He arrived for the 9:00am appointment at 9:15am and completed the job in an hour and forty five minutes. This included a break.
I was unhappy that after mixing a filling compound from my kitchen sink he left the opened box of powder on the counter next to my coffee maker.
I had misunderstood that painting the ceiling of the room would be included in the job. I learned that the job did not include "extras". Since this was in fact included in the fine print of the description of the 'Big Deal" I cannot give a poor grade for this. However, given the fact that the job was small and completed quickly, his firm stance on this "extra" did not amount to exceptional service in my opinion.
It seems to me that one painter for approximately 90 minutes of labor for $89.00 is not an exceptional "Big Deal".
"We apologize that you were not happy with our customer service. Please note however that deal for Angie's List was for 2 coats of paint on the walls only. To paint the ceiling would have required setting up for a completely different color and in all would have taken an hour or more to complete. We are sorry that you feel that our time was not worth the $25 extra the ceiling would have cost. However we were unable to do the ceiling not just because of money, but also because we had two other customers scheduled to be painted that day, and we like to arrive on time to appointments. We also apologize for leaving the open container on the sink while we were working it was unintentional, and would have been removed before we left. Thank you for purchasing the Big Deal with Angie's List and for allowing Kane Painting to come and paint your home."
"We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the quality of our work, even when we came back to fix it with no expense to you. With painting there are always unforseen things that can go wrong for various reasons, but we pride ourselves on being a company that will always try to make sure our customers are satisfied. If there were further issues you should have felt free to contact us. We can only assume that the paint failure was due to cabinet use before the paint could cure for 30 days, the paint it self may have been from a bad batch, or hardware replacement. The cabinet drawer not closing may have been to too many layers of paint, because the cabinets were already painted, which also may have attributed to the paint not "sinking in.""
