They presented a proposal and gave a price. During the proposal we asked if he had insurance and he stated that he did. I gave him a $500 deposit. When I called him to ask him for his workers compensation certificate he said that he did not have it. I let him know that I cannot allow him to come and do the job with out that insurance. He told me that he was going to drop the windows off and I'd better have a check ready for him. I called and left a voice mail advising them to not bring the windows and we wanted our deposit back.
Description of Work: They were to install aprox. 10 windows in my home.

Response from JAY CO BUILDERS
The member and I entered a contract to install windows on his property. That contract was in writing and is signed by both parties. At the time we entered into the contract, he made no mention to me about me having worker's compensations insurance. I own and operate my own business and am not required to carry that insurance. Pursuant to the contract I ordered the windows from my supplier. The windows have arrived and to date the member has not allowed me to install them nor pay for them.
