Craig performed the job ($4500 for 288 sq. ft, $15.62 per sq. ft). He is difficult to reach and doesn't respond in a timely manner. If positive personality attributes are important, you may want another contractor. Although he indicated he had a crew, he was the only one I saw. His truck left huge tire ruts in the yard. I am paying to have the damage repaired; I was quoted $800. A neighbor had a patio poured and their crew left no damage to the yard. The concrete he poured and stamped looks ok by most standards, by mine, it's marginal. The stamped concrete should have shown more variance in the color but didn't; he indicated it would be two colors (looks like only one). His contract indicated a 6-sack mix; I asked him to use a 6 1/2 sack mix to help minimize cracking. He said he would; I trust that he did, so why do you plan to use a 6-sack mix if 6 1/2 is better (experts recommend 6 1/2 sack). Color from the concrete mix was splashed on my house because he didn't take time to mask it with plastic and tape. The soil he removed was dumped in a pile with little effort to smooth it out. He did show up on time. He left water bottles in the yard. When comparing it with my neighbors stamped concrete patio, they got a better product. If you want a responsive contractor who does excellent work and gives you peace of mind by communicating with you, this isn’t the contractor for you. My hope with this review is that he improves his performance.

Firstly, this is a one-man show. He performed the work quickly, which was the only good aspect of dealing with him.
David damaged bricks and cinder blocks during demolition and then charged me arb $250 to fix the damage.
In the portion of the proposal that address my making payment he wrote, "At completion of job". In order to tear out the old concrete and pour the new concrete he had to put supports in place to lift the porch roof off it's vertical support beams. After he poured the concrete he said the concrete would need to cure for 3 days before the vertical supports being put back into place.
At this point he said that he wanted a check "right now". When i said that the job wasn't completed he began to scream about "some people" and said he'd put the vertical supports back in place right now if he didn't get it. I refused to make full payment until the work was done, but paid 3/4 of the amount because he genuinely seemed like he would become violent.
