got money back, very unprofessional, makes thier problem the customers

I had to prepay, which I thought was unusual, but I went ahead with the repairs. I scheduled a pickup date around a week later, for May 27. I went there on May 30th, and they had the reheeled shoe completed but the one to be resoled had not been started yet. I was told that he would get to it within the next day or two, but they would call when they were ready because it is a long distance for me to drive to pick them up. I called them on June 2nd and they told me that he was working on them then and they should be done later in that day. I went on the 3rd and was told that they were not ready and they said they had not called yet and asked why I had bothered to come out. Today, on the 9th, my husband called and they told him that they had been completed and I can pick them up. They never called to tell me they were finished, and it has been weeks now since I dropped them off and I still do not have both pairs of shoes. I try to support local established businesses but only if they hold up their end of the bargain, and they have lost that with me. I found their service to be unreliable and unprofessional, and I would not plan to use them again in the future.

GOOD, THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS MANY YEARS. HIS STORE IS MESSY BUT HE SEEMS TO KNOW WHERE EVERYTHING IS. IT IS HARD TO FIND A GOOD SHOE REPAIR.

PURSE WAS NOT READY ON TIME. THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PURSE. DID NOT CALL ME BACK WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD! PURSE WAS NOT READY THE SECOND TIME THEY GAVE ME A COMPLETION DATE. DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE LEATHER THAT CANNOT BE FIXED. THEY TRIED TO USE A MACHINE TO DO THE SEWING; INSTEAD OF DOING IT BY HAND. THE STORE IS DIRTY, UNORGANIZED, AND NOT PROFESSIONAL. IN MY OPINION, YOU ARE TAKING A RISK JUST LEAVING ANYTHING THERE.
