Performing illegal fixes: I asked them to replace a whistle on my oil tank, and they didn't know how without bypassing the current ventilation and ventilating INTO THE HOUSE!!!! Needless to say this is illegal and no oil companies will deliver heating oil to your house if Carl's has done the work. DO NOT USE - TOO MANY SAFETY VIOLATIONS

Do yourself a favor and call someone else - they came out to look at our boiler for a CO leak in December and told us they’d need to come back and they’d call to set it up. Never called. I scheduled them finally myself in February. They told me all good, then my detectors went off again. They came back out, nothing changed, told me all good. Billed me 3 times. Still CO leak - we could have died because of their ignorance. I called to see when they were coming back, and they said “oh someone is coming today”. Why did no one tell me? Then they didn’t even show. Finally they came out again with a second guy that REEKED of marijuana. So bad that my basement smelled an hour later when I went down. They tried to put a longer stack pipe on, didn’t solve the issue. Then they put a larger one on that ripped out with one gust of wind. We’ve called multiple times requesting the owner to call us and all she said was she’d look into it - still no callback.

They went above and beyond! I was very pleased with them. They explained everything they were doing, kept in touch, were on time, and did a great job overall! I would highly recommend them to anybody.

It only worked for a a day and then leaked all over our floor, and it was almost impossible to get them to come back out. When they did, they still did not fix the unit. I was told that we would hear back the next day and we did not

I had called them on Sunday and asked to be put on the list for Monday. Very reponsive. They came out on Monday morning and replaced the ignition gun. They actually left and the furnance ran but later quit again. I called back and they were back out in a couple hours. Apparently the bad switch triggered the old transformer to go bad.
The serviceman was very professional and courteous. Extremely happy with the service I received. I did not feel as though they were trying to replace parts that did not need to be replaced.

Recently, I decided to make a number of upgrades to my mother's home to prepare it for sale. Carl's Heating and Air Conditioning was one of the HVAC companies recommended by our realtor as one who other home sellers had used, and found to provide quality replacements at a fair price. We obtained bids from Carl's and two other companies, all of which came to us with references, and which we researched on Angie's LIst and other sources. Carl's provided the best bid using a quality unit from a manufacturer we also researched (Luxaire). They installed the units when they said they would, minimized the amount of time that the house was without heat (a few hours), replaced the chimney liner, removed the old furnace and AC unit (50+ years old), and left the furnace working perfectly and the work area spotless. I was pleased enough with their work that I called them to do warranty replacement work on a three-year old condenser on my own home air conditioner from a different manufacturer, which they also performed perfectly.

I am happy with their work, and I will use them again. They were prompt, and they did the work in 1 day. They were friendly and professional. They cleaned up after themselves.
