BHD Rain Gutters

Jim Dotson of BHD Rain Gutters was recommended by my roofer whose work and professionalism I greatly appreciate. This did predispose me to using BHD, but once the work was finished I am extremely pleased with the results. Jim Dotson came out to provide the estimate. Jim was professional, courteous and helpful in describing the leaf protection product he recommends and uses. Jim & I walked the house as he measured and identified the needed materials. We finished in about 30 minutes and he presented me with an estimate that was approximately 1/3 less than I expected. Two younger men showed up Wednesday March 27 at about 9:30AM. They began removing the old and installing the new materials. These gentlemen were also professional and courteous and worked at a continuous steady pace. They informed me that a small segment of my soffit over the front porch roof needed minor repair, so they simply repaired the damaged segment and continued installing the new gutters. They finished about 5:30PM with Jim here helping the two others with clean-up. The finished product looks very good and last night/today's rain has shown the integrity of the new system is excellent.

We had a gutter fall in the middle of the night. After calling BHD, we were transferred to the OWNER of the company, who asked what had happened and walked us through the options to fix our gutter. As promised he came out the next day to give us a free estimate, which was a lot more reasonable than I thought it was going to be. He even gave us a quote and suggestions on things to do once we get a new roof in the next couple of years. The work was done on time and the company was a breeze to work with. They just gain a customer for our future gutter needs.

Jim's crew was super. He had to hire a roofer to make some repairs. That went well. The guys got the gutters and guards off, cleaned up well, and installed the new gutters, then the screens. We had some downspouts replaced a couple of years ago, and the rest were replaced this time. I am extraordinary happy with this work. The crew was very polite and nice to work with.

I had a very positive experience.  I was coordinating a large exterior remodel on my rental home in Akron while living in Indiana.  As the last step in the remodel, I needed someone to install rain gutters.  I coordinated everything remotely via email and telephone.  BHD was responsive and professional.  I selected them and set up an install date.  They showed up as scheduled and completed the work and invoiced me.  Everything was done to my satisfaction.  I'd recommend them in the future.

They were very professional and took care of the removal and installation very quickly. It took about 3 hours from start to finish. The products look great so I would recommend this company.

Jim showed up when he said he would to give me an estimate. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Jim had some great ideas on how to make our existing gutters would work more efficiently during heavy rains. And how to install gutter guards on a smaller sunroom gutter. I had our estimate in hand by the time he left our house. We were able to schedule for the work to be done shortly after the estimate. The crew arrived on time and worked professionally and efficiently. They cleaned all the gutters prior to installing Leaf Relief gutter guards. They asked me to inspect all their work upon completion. When they were finished everything was left nice and neat. I would definitely use BHD Rain Gutters again and recommend them to others.

Because the roof of our circa 1917 house has a large surface due to the angles of the roof, and water flows into gutters that aren't very long, we had problems with overflow and sometimes water in the basement whenever we got a large amount of rain. We called BHD to see about installing wider gutters.
They took down the old gutters, installed bigger ones, and reconfigured the downspouts to improve the flow. Because the old roof gutters and the porch (whose gutters we did not replace) shared the same downspout, separating the downspouts seemed like a better idea. This involved a lot of bending and shaping of the downspouts, and also uncovered an area under where the original downspout had been that had no vinyl siding on it. Also when the job was done we noticed dents in the aluminum that covered one of the fascia boards.
Jim gave us a fair estimate, and when we saw the dent in the fascia aluminum and the missing siding, he had those cosmetic issues fixed without extra charge.
Jim was a great person to work with, as were the men who did the work. We'd hire them again in a heartbeat.
We used the SnapFix app from Angie's List, so I didn't need to do any research on Angie's website to find a good company close to where I live.

Jim lives in my neighborhood. He saw how the rain was overflowing our gutters and recommended switching our 2and quot; x 3and quot; downspouts with 4and quot; x 6and quot;. I selected a color that was a close match for our house color, and it needed to be custom ordered. We selected an install date of after Labor Day, and we chose today. His crew arrived on time, and evaluated the situation. They needed to clear off the roof and the clean out the gutters. (I have a lot of trees.) Then they started the replacements. They worked very efficiently, and everything was cleaned up. These look much nicer than the ones that were on the house. I am quite impressed with the quality of the installation. I am waiting for a storm to see how these work.

I called for an estimate and Jim came when he said he would, he showed us samples of the gutters and the rain guards that
he could install. He did not push us to buy. The work was done in one day. The worker was here early in the morning and
worked continually until it was done. Everything was cleaned up when he left. I would recommend this company to friends.
I should mention that when he was showing us samples he actually told us that a cheaper rain guard that he had would do
just fine and that we didn't need the most expensive one.

Jim was very prompt in both coming out to provide an estimate and then in performing the subsequent work that was needed. He was very easy to deal with and did a very good job. I have no hesitation in recommending his services for your gutter repair or replacement needs.

Due to a mixup, the work was done while we were out of town. The work was done satisfactorily.

I called BHD and received a return call the same day. BHP provided an estimate within 2 days. They installed my gutters within two weeks of the estimate. They showed up on time and completed the work in a professional manner. They cleaned up all of the material that was removed. I would recommend this company for rain gutter work of any kind.

They were able to give us a lot of different options and also brought samples of a lot of their products. They were very good and were reasonably priced. They were also easy to get along with. They cleaned up well when they were finished. We would recommend them to others.
