The owner came to our home in July and reviewed our project and provided an estimate. Artcrete was our third estimate and was the only company to discuss the need for a permit with the apron. We also liked that he mentioned having very little turnover in his crew and that they had a web presence (website, Angi reviews, and BBB profile). The estimate was almost exactly halfway between our lowest and highest estimates. We made a few modifications to the job via email and accepted the estimate. We mailed a $300 deposit. We were contacted in early October and told they could start in 2 days. The crew arrived in the morning (not too early) and prepped the site for the entire week (removed existing deck, hauled away existing brick, and prepared the site for pouring). They poured and finished the following week. They do not do landscaping, but, if we had been more clear earlier, they said they would have been able to bring topsoil to fill in some places in our new yard. I would definitely hire Artcrete for future concrete jobs. The crew was polite and personable. And, the new driveway and patio met our expections.

The cement block under my side stoop was crumbling. I sent a photo of the problem to Eric and asked for his advice as to how to repair the problem. He recommended replacing the entire stoop which agreed with a home inspector who had given me the same recommendation. Eric followed up by coming out a few days later to give me an estimate for the work. I was put on the work schedule and told that it would about 6 weeks before the work could be done but two weeks later I received a call saying that they could squeeze me in between other jobs. They came and tore out the old stoop in the afternoon and put up the framework for the new stoop. The following morning they came and poured the concrete and finished the stoop. They cleaned up everything when they were done. This is the second project that Eric has done for me and he is wonderful to work with--responds promptly and keeps you informed during the entire process. He takes his time and makes sure the job is done correctly and answers any questions that you have.

It was amazing to watch them work and see all of this come together so
beautifully. I couldn't have asked for more, and couldn't be more
satisfied!!
We had the work quoted in 2014, but because of a protruding manhole
cover, we had to postpone the driveway until the City recessed and
sealed the manhole.
In April 2015, I called and sent them pictures and they remembered me.
They were able to re-quote it without coming back out, which saved me
time. The rain we have had really effected outdoor work, but Sherry in
the office is quite sharp and kept me up to date on the scheduling. She
is very coordinated and it's just so nice to talk to a real person that
is very caring of your needs, and accommodating.
At my request, Sherry even adjusted their schedule and "skipped" us,
did a small job, and came back to us to keep our scheduling coordinated
to vacation time we arranged so one of us could be home while work was
being done. She is great with communicating through the whole process.
It all worked out according to plan and it didn't rain at all during the
week they were working!
Eric is awesome too. He came out on two different occasions prior to the
work starting, to answer questions we had, and to go over a few changes
we wanted to make. He made recommendations and worked well with
incorporating changes we made into the plan. He is very professional and
just a great person to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable in this
work and it shows from start to finish!
The crew were there each morning on time and working the minute they
arrived. It was amazing to watch them work as they were very coordinated
and very skilled in working together. Some areas were very large, and
two men on either side of a board worked in perfect harmony without
spoken words! I was in awe watching them work. Very smoothly and very
efficiently. No time was wasted as this was a large project.
They are very professional and take pride in their work and it shows in the workmanship.
We are absolutely and completely so much more than happy with their work
and will have them back out when we are ready to put a drive in the
back are of our property.

This project had to be timed just right, between having our side yard dug up to install a drain system and having a new lawn installed to fix the damage done by the drain system. Eric was able to schedule the pouring of the patio so that his men and equipment would not have to work around a newly graded and seeded area. They were quick and efficient during the installation of the patio. Eric came back in the fall to put down a sealer and before doing so power washed the patio and cleaned off a little splatter that was on the house siding. We were pleased that he wanted everything just right.

They did an excellent job. I think they are somebody that I would highly recommend. I don't really think they're a lot of people that do what they do, I'm not sure. I tried calling a lot of companies and no one ever return my call.

They were fine, they were good. They contacted us right away and they were able to help us. We had several companies that we contacted, some of them are from Cleveland and even though they were supposed to service our area, they weren't able to come in because it was too far. They were prompt. They came and did a good job.

It went fine. They were willing to do a smaller job when other places weren't willing.

This was like working with a valued member of your family. They were very good at their job. They did a wonderful job on our concrete work. It is so near perfect . we are thrilled with their work. Would not consider ever using any other company.

They did a fantastic job, very professional and I would recommend them to anyone. I was extremely impressed with the job from start to finish. The attention to detail was impressive. Everyone who sees the finished driveway and patio says how great it looks. All the workers on this project were gentlemen and a pleasure to work with. These guys were so conscientious in the installation of the concrete (stamped and regular) and strive to please the customer. Their prices are not only competative but in my case their price was the best quote. I had 9 quotes for the job and Artcrete was the best quote.

The sidewalk from the drive to the front porch was beginning to pit and chip and I gathered estimates for replacement. I was impressed with the work that Artcrete had done at other places and their specialty concrete jobs. Although the price for the specialty work was beyond my budget, I did hire them to just put in a concrete walk and replace the two steps up to the front porch. They were accommodating to my work schedule and put me on their list to be one of their first jobs of the summer to fit in with my work schedule. They arrived promptly and worked very h****** a hot day tearing out old concrete and putting in new concrete. They sealed the concrete (which is something another company had not done when they poured concrete for another job I had done the year before) and came back a few days later and removed all their materials from the job site.

They were very good and we would recommend them to others. They were on time and courteous. My husband was happy about the work they did. The price was competitive but they were not lower than anyone else. We will absolutely use them again in the future.

The concrete apron in front of our garage was deteriorating, slanting downward toward the garage floor. They had given us an estimate to replace it in September (see my previous report on that positive experience), and told us that the earliest the work could be done was in November. When we returned from a trip out of town, we were surprised to see that the new apron had been installed while we were gone. They did a beautiful job installing it, with a drain running the length of it and a tile flowing onto the downhill side of our garage. We have a gravel driveway, and they also graded around the apron and brought in a new load of gravel.
There was no sign of any of the old apron when we got home, so all the debris of the demolition of the old apron was gone. They left the lawn in good condition also.
The time between the estimate and when they would start work was exactly as he had indicated when he gave us the estimate. The price we paid was exactly what he said it would be.
I gave this contractor a grade of B on the price only because I don't really know how it compares to other contractors. It wasn't cheap, but I like to think I got what I paid for--excellent quality work.
We would certainly hire them without hesitation for any concrete or paving project.

They did a great job! Eric was the main contractor for our job, and he was excellent.
By the way, I didn't have any other quotes for the job, which is why I couldn't evaluate the cost.
I had first contacted Artrcrete in October or November for an estimate, and they came within a day or two to inspect the job site and they provided an estimate on the spot. I waited until April to make a decision, and they already had several jobs scheduled by then, which didn't surprise me at all. I told them I wasn't in any particular hurry as long as the job was done by the end of summer or so. They said they thought they would probably be able to start in June or maybe July, and they were able to start in early July, which was good.
When they started the job, they told me that it might take a little time to locate aluminum railing pieces rather than steel ones, since they had overlooked my request for aluminum on the original estimate (there was just a small note for "alum" on the handwritten estimate sheet.) They finished the concrete work on a Friday and had found a local supplier for appropriate aluminum railing pieces by Monday morning. The railing supplier said they would need about two weeks to make the railing pieces, so Artcrete reattached some of our old railing pieces in the meantime to keep our existing awning supported and to enable us to use our steps safely. The railings were ready when promisted, and Artcrete installed them the next morning without any problem at all.
I realize that some customers might consider the small oversight about our request for aluminum to be something negative, but the way Artcrete handled it actually made me feel BETTER about them. They were very open about what had happened, and made sure that we were satisfied with how they were handling it. I really respected their honesty and their commitment to our satisfaction, and it made me trust them even more, and glad that I had hired a contractor with integrity.
In addition to what I considered to be the basics of the job--replacing the steps, porches, and railings--they went beyond my expectations in a number of seemingly small ways that I really appreciated. As they began the concrete work, my wife asked if they could make the back porch a little higher than the old one, which they did with no problem. However, we had a small wooden deck attached to it which was level with the old porch's height. I had told them we didn't care if the deck remained level, but they kindly put in a little extra work and made it level with the new porch, which was nice. Also, we had some wooden landscaping boards that butted up against the old porches, and Artcrete did a little extra work to be sure the boards still fit closely against the new porches when they were done, without my even mentioning it. In addition, I modified the original job request slightly as they were ordering the railings, when I asked if they could install some new handrails where there hadn't been any before, which they cheerfully did for only a VERY reasonable small extra charge. Also, I had mentioned that my wife actually used the railings for balance, sometimes rather heavily, so Eric made sure the railings were extra secure. And finally, they did an excellent job of cleaning up when they were done.
In summary, I was extremely happy with Artcrete and Eric's (and his helper's, whose name I didn't catch) work. They really worked closely with us to be sure they were doing what we wanted and needed, and I was impressed with their openness and their commitment to our satisfaction. The new front and back steps, porches, and railings look great, and it was a pleasure to work with Artcrete and Eric!

Artcrete arrived right on time and removed the old sidewalk and steps. They also had to take out part of a sandstone wall in order to put down the frame for the new sidewalk. Once that was completed they prepared the area and then poured the concrete and finished the surface. It was a difficult job because they were limited in work area because I had large flower planters on both sides of the sidewalk plus the sandstone blocks from the wall that had to be moved in order for them to do their work. They made the best of a very tight work area and made sure the finish was perfect. They were very friendly and willing to explain what they were doing. They also came back the next day and removed the construction forms and resurfaced my side door step for me. It was a very positive experience for me and I definitely would hire them again.
