B**** Myers, the owner, did the job in two days with only one helper (although he waited six months to check the AC duct temps based on the fact that it was almost November in Ohio). We had to call him back to put a clamp on the furnace condensate drain after it leaked and to swap out a valve on the AC coil after water started running down the side of the furnace cabinet. I blame both problems on Trane/American Standard, since B**** said he was told by the company that the first problem had been corrected with a new design and the second was part of a recall that Trane failed to tell him about as a stocking dealer of their products. My only issue with B**** is that I've to put in some new screws to hold up the PVC vent pipes from the furnace (he used really short screws on metal bracing between floor joists after the last interior 90-degree turn) and will have to replace a busted clamp holding the new AC line set to the basement ceiling.
