A large limb on our huge sweet gum tree had broken off and was resting against the trunk and across the telephone and cable wires. I contacted our regular guy, and also contacted Troy at AbovetheCut, to provide estimates for removal of the downed branch, and also for removal of other branches on the tree in order to get branches away from the garage roof and to also generally open up the tree and surrouding grounds to more sunlight. Troy arrived the evening of the day I contacted him as scheduled. His estimate was 275, versus 375 from our regular guy, so I called Troy back and he scheduled the job for the first thing on the following Monday. He followed up with me on Sunday as he stated he would, to confirm the appointment. Troy and his 3 man crew arrived as scheduled, on a rainy day, and took care of all of the work and cleanup in just over 5 hours work. The tree looks good and all branch removals at trunk and other branches are correctly collared. I think I counted 6 pickup loads of wood going out the drive to the local mulch dump. Another note is that he and his crew managed to do the trimming and removal without needing to have a bucket lift truck, or any other heavy equipment, so there were no tire tracks or other issues created by the work that was done.
