I NEVER write reviews...HOWEVER- The customer service here is atrocious and the woman who answers phones is INCREDIBLY RUDE. We were given a 4 hour window for service, stayed home from work to have them come and they came an hour AFTER the end of the service window. Technician was rude, phone operator was dismissive and hung up on us. Will be letting our building know to never recommend this company again to any owners or tenants. AWFUL & INCOMPETENT.

Use any other company instead. AD does not stand behind their contracts or their work and they apparently use defective parts. They repaired our microwave in 9/21 by changing a control board. It was back to the same issue within 18 months and they want to charge new fees to repair again although they advertise "high-quality parts that have been crafted with durability in mind, ensuring long-lasting and effective functionality" enabling us to "avoid the repetitive expenses of purchasing new components or the services of a technician to install them." This is completely false advertising and unacceptable.

The control panel showed an error code. But since the refrigerator was still working there was no rush and I made an appointment for one week later. Eddie and his helper showed up on time, repaired my refrigerator, and were on their way in 30 minutes. I thought I would need an expensive part but only paid the service call charge. An excellent experience.

Feared it might be expensive motor repair. Turned out to be a simple door lock in need of replacement. Would use service again.

Absolute professional, fair and wonderful service was performed by Mike at The Appliance Doctor.  I chose The Appliance Doctor based upon their Angie's List reviews and ratings.  From the moment that I called to make an appointment until my dryer was repaired and tested, it was a painless and happy experience.  They worked to schedule the visit according to my  needs.  They made an effort to completely understand the nature of the service prior to their arrival and clearly & concisely provided their fees up-front prior to scheduling my repair.  Mike was prompt, professionally attired, and friendly.  After a quick and thorough examination, Mike quickly determined the issue and gave me an on-the-spot quote, parts + labor.  The door safety switch had gone bad and just need to be replaced.  Mike was in and out in no time.  However, at no time did he rush the examination or repair.  The Appliance Doctor was thorough and meticulous doing the repair.  I've found my "go-to" appliance repair shop!  Without any hesitation or reservation whatsoever, I strongly recommend The Appliance Doctor.  You will get fair, honest and professional service.  Mike provided both warranty on the part and his labor should anything go wrong with his repair.  The Appliance Doctor stands behind their service.

We used the microwave later in the week and noticed that the food was cooking (solved one problem) but the door continues to slam open (did not solve both problems).

We contacted The Appliance Doctor and notified them of the issue and Keith returned for a second visit to repair the issue of the slamming door. He noted that the tension rods are working as installed, but the door is heavy and will continue to slam open. He further noted that he has received multiple complaints about these doors and their weight is the reason behind the failure and there is no way to fix it. He even went to suggest that the current operation of the door was no different from when the appliance was brand new.

This is where we disagreed with Keith. When we first purchased the house, the microwave door did not slam open. In fact, the microwave is part of a microwave oven / conventional oven combo unit with the microwave sitting on top of the conventional oven. The door to the oven below it does not slam open. To suggest that the door is operating as it did upon purchase is not accurate. Further, if he was aware of this issue and the fact that he could not solve the problem, he should have indicated this to us prior to him installing new tension rods.

At the end of the day, we want to acknowledge the fact that Keith did repair one of two issues we called him for. I asked the company to refund a portion of the total fees to acknowledge that only half of the issues were resolved, although I paid in full for both issues. I requested the refund in three manners: (1) directly to Keith, (2) through the company website, and (3) through an email directly to Kim Dilbeck at The Appliance Doctor (she was the one who scheduled the second visit. No one at the company has responded to my request and I am disappointed in the customer service. I hope this is a one-off issue and not indicative of the way they treat all of their customers.
