Called and asked for a same day appointment after the car wouldn't start.
Brought car in in the late morning. Received call that car wouldn't be ready that that, but would be worked on first thing the next day.
I received a call the following morning, was told the battery was defective and would be replaced. Iwas also informed that the front brakes were worn and should be replaced. I aggreed, and a few hours later received a call that the car was ready. They apologized for being so busy the could not repair the car the first day.
I have bought cars from Smith Cairns since 2000 and have alwys been satisfied with their service. The cost is slightly higher that that seen at a local mechanic, but the service is always prompt, friendly and efficient.

I had a really unpleasant experience with them. They called in a representative from Dearborn supposedly to evaluate it. He came and he said it's normal and I found that very hard to believe because it was a new car and my older cars didn't make a noise of that type. Therefore I didn't believe it and the way that he said that, I found insulting, so I never went back. I think they knew what was wrong with it, but they didn't want to spend the time and money to repair it.

My experience with them has been good over the years. I have bought two cars from them. They used to take good care of them. This time everything went wrong. They were very superficial. I asked them to fix the wires on the dashboard that were hanging out, and they fixed the wires only on the driver’s side and let the ones on the passenger’s side lie there. It was very disheartening. There was one old manager who was pretty good, but I don’t know if he would be there much longer. I think he is close to retirement. They used to be very good, but I wouldn’t use them again.

This company doesn't like to provide warranty service. I also found this with my previous car. Their mechanics have no diagnostic skills. On this occasion they made me wait 3 1/2 hours before they even looked at the car then told me there was nothing wrong with it, despite the fact that their mechanic came out with me and acknowledged the abnormal noise and vibration. I had to go to another shop to get the work done. On a previous visit they did the warranty work - they had to, the car was undriveable - then tried to persuade me to an $800 brake job; I didn't bite and sold that car about four years later, with the brakes still working perfectly.

They are very good. I had a problem with the rear wheel, they had to replace something there and they also had to replace the front struts. The car is very expensive and old but it's running well now. I go there all the time and I recommend them to all.

Smith Cairns Ford Subaru Inc. got me in on time. We trust them. My husband used to be a mechanic so he would know if anyone tried to snow us and this placed doesn't. I also like that they seem to give elderly people special treatment and I feel that they respect me and want to do the best for me.
