If you have ever had an unfortunate experience at the hands of an auto mechanic, your problems are over. Sigi Legath and his assistant, Ian are the best, most thorough, most respectful and most conscientious mechanics I have ever met. I have taken my cars to them for over 20 years, and wouldn't hear of taking them anywhere else.
More than once, I have had a tire sales person or even a dealer tell me that I needed an expensive repair, only to have Sigi tell me that it was something simple. One dramatic example was when a dealer told me I needed $1,400 of electrical work. I explained everything the dealer told me to Sigi, knowing that he could have done the same work for less. He looked the car over and told me that I needed none of that work. Instead, he sold me a $60 battery. That was all it needed.
And when I have needed specialty work, like major electrical, air conditioning or body work, he has recommended fabulous people nearby.
Sure, an express lube shop will have a cheaper oil change, but when Sigi changes the oil, he looks the entire car over and makes sure everything is right.
Look no further. The best, most honest mechanic on the planet. Could you ask for anything more?

In short, Sigi is simply the best! A great mechanic, extremely reliable, as honest as can be. Prices are very reasonable and he always takes the time to explain what is needed. He'll never try to upsell you, in fact, if you ask him to do something that he doesn't think you need, he'll explain why and talk you out of it. I've moved a few times since first becoming a customer, and still go out of my way to use S and W.
Give them a try, you won't regret it.

They do an amazing job! The prices are reasonable, but not inexpensive. He happens to be an extremely honest mechanic, which is a rare find. You can trust him when he tells you something needs to be repaired, you know he is not kidding. I have brought my car in there to get a tune-up and he has told me it didn't need one. Any other mechanic would have just done it. He does good work and he is honest; that is why I go to him. There is always someone offering specials and I could save a couple of bucks, but I woudn't do that. I go to Sand W Automotive.

They checked my tires at my last service. I asked if they should be replaced. Sigi told me that that they were still OK and we should wait until at least the next service. With my last car I asked to have a tune up. After he serviced my car he told me that I did not need a tune up yet. How many mechanics would pass up an opportunity to perform a tune up and make some cash. Excellent, always reliable.
