Robert Whitney Tree Service

I was really worried about the potential for damage to the house, because of how it was situated.  But they had it totally under control, and I didn't have a single problem.  It took about two days, and they left everything perfectly cleaned up.  As a side note, his son climbs like a spider monkey :)

Bob's employees (which included his son and grandson) did an excellent job cleaning up many damaged trees in my yard from the October snow storm.  While inundated with calls, he got back to me the same day of the storm and scheduled my non-emergency work for a future date.  His crew was friendly, efficient, and thorough in cleaning up all of the debris from their work.  His rate was reasonable, especially given the number of men and the amount of equipment he brought to the job.  I doubt there is a more experienced person at his profession than Bob in Westchester.  He quickly understands what needs to be done, and in the three instances he has worked on the trees in my yard, the execution has been great.

A large oak tree died in our yard and several oak trees needed trimming.
We called Robert and his team arrived on time.
They worked all day and cleaned up--very neat.
They also chopped up tree and stacked for firewood.
We have used them 3 or 4 times for tree service over the last 10 years

They did a fine job. They were able to keep the cost within reason. They seemed to do just what needed to be done, instead of selling me services that I didn't need. I thought that they were professional, though you have to wait a little bit for them to come. They won't come immediately.

It wasn't a complex job: they did it speedily, competently and pleasantly, at a much better price than others quoted

Whitney is certainly professional and, when he takes on the job, punctual and efficient. He removed some trees for us years ago, and I remember him being fair in cost as well. But I've twice called him for recent needs. Both times, he came and gave an estimate and gave a date that he'd start the work. Both times, he never showed!

Mr. Whitney showed up on time to review the property and provide an estimate. Once the work scope and daily price were agreed, he said that it would be approx. 2 weeks before he could do the work due to his currently busy schedule. This was fine for us. He then called a few weeks later, we agreed a date and time. He showed up with his crew on the agreed upon date and time (I was a little late but they just jumped in and started working). They completed the work in two days, cleaned up after themselves and cut some of the dead branches into firewood.

Everything went extremely well. The crew was very efficient, they cleaned up everything and were very polite. I believe the price was very reasonable. I would recommend this service to anybody in lower Westchester.

They really did a great job and they did a good job cleaning up as well. I would recommend them to other people because they are thorough and efficient in their work. They are also professional, friendly, and they also have reasonable rates.
