He never finished the work. He repeatedly tried to over bill me for the work completed. He installed materials substandard of those he contracted to install. He went several months beyond the agreed upon finish date. Toward the end he said he was broke and needed me to advance him money to pay his employees and buy materials. When I did advance him, he disappeared. He does not answer emails or phone calls. Now I have subcontractors coming to me and saying he owes them money for work on my house. What a nightmare.
