This was the first time I ever dealt with a contractor and it was a real learning experience for me. I probably made almost every mistake in the book. In the kitchen, Oma-Tech handled the cabinetry and walls, while three other contractors handled putting in a new floor, the electrical and the plumbing. The problem with Oma-Tech was not their work, which was pretty good. It was their ability to answer the phone or return phone calls in a reasonable period of time. They were also not good at cooperating with the other contractors, particularly the plumber. It also seemed that Oma-Tech was juggling several jobs at once. It seemed that they would show up for an hour or two sometimes, move the job forward a little bit and then leave. The job took much longer than expected.
Description of Work: Oma-Tech demolished and old kitchen, re-framed a wall and installed cabinets that had been purchased from Home Depot. They also ripped out the old baseboards throughout the apartment and replaced them with new.
