O Flynn Painting

Rory's workers painted a number of ceilings and the walls in the kitchen.They were very professional, clean and friendly .Their paint work was excellent.I will be using them again for future painting work.Highly recommended.

Very good

Rory and his help David were great. I just purchased a new house which was in need of a new paint job. Even though I was under an extremely tight schedule to get my four bedrooms painted before the new furniture arrived Rory and David got the job done right under the wire. The job was completed in three days which would have taken me three weeks to complete. Rory and David paid very close attention to detail and provided me with excellent customer service. Thankfully Rory was willing to squeeze me into his already busy schedule. I will certainly be calling him again soon to paint several other rooms. Thanks again Rory and David for all your hard work and efforts.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and results that Rory O'Flynn and his guys delivered on my painting and flooring job. If you want it done right, use them! I'll be recommending them highly and often...

Great experience

Rory was an excellent person to work with. He worked hard to gain my trust and provide excellent service. He finished the project 5 days early and required no money up front. He painted 10 rooms, installed wall paper in 4 rooms and even instAlled millwork chair rails in dining and hallways If I were to find one area of improvement it would be in precisely matching geometric lineup on wallpaper. But I think I am the only one who would ever notice. I definitely plan to hire Rory again on future projects.

Good job

I can't speak highly enough of Rory and my experience/result. After a shocking bait-and-switch experience with a dodgy contractor left me and my pregnant wife (due in a week) paying triple an already expensive estimate I looked everywhere for an alternative. I ended up choosing Rory (based on reviews and phone interview) for painting and then asked him to do floorboards too, plus removing cupboards (demolishing and repair)... since he had that experience. To be brief: Rory's work was perfect. He hustled to meet the deadline after I gave him my own delays and more work. He had EVERY RIGHT to charge (ask for) more than his original estimate, but he didn't. He had good reason to miss the deadline but instead he employed extra help to meet our needs. Regarding the only two negative reviews on this site: I just don't believe they come from reason. Rory was extremely honest, inexpensive and competent/talented. Nice guy too.

Rory took on a very complicated job renovating our master bedroom, making order out of chaos. He removed old deteriorating wallpaper, prepped and painted the walls, then removed old carpeting and sanded, stained and varnished the wood floor. He (and sometimes another worker) showed up when promised, did the work he said he would do each day, and was reassuring about finishing the project on time. He did everything for a fair price, was very professional, and he's a great guy to have around too!

Rory and his crew is no nonsense and gets the job done on time and within the budget. Rory did our floors -sanded, stained and finished. He also did an outstanding job on the multiple rooms and paint scheme that we selected. I will use I Him again if I need any work done..

Rory was extremely professional and got the job done faster than originally predicted by working later and arriving earlier. He's a great painter and a great guy.

Messy finish

Rory was fantastic. Everything was first rate from communication to service to workmanship. Rory's price was more than competitive and I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. They were also very thorough and kept everything very neat and clean. I can't recommend O'Flynn painting any mor highly.

My partner and I are so pleased with the painting of our new Co-op unit. We contacted Rory to paint the entire unit and remove a few built-in window framings. After our initial meeting, it was obvious that he knows what he is doing and his work meets the highest standard. His prep work (plastering and smoothing cracks) and wall finish was excellent. In these times, it is refreshing to meet someone like Rory. His professionalism and delightful manner shines bright. It was truly a pleasure and we highly recommend him if you want a superior paint job. In a word: Outstanding.

Rory O'Flynn is a professional at all levels. He's very clear and accurate in his details of the scope of his work. He is always punctual, and works steadily throughout the entirety of the project. He is amenable to assisting with by-owner additions and provides estimated completion dates on a regular basis. If the scope of the project requires specialization, he is always able to obtain a top-notch sub-contractor for that specific task (e.g., tiling, drywall, crown molding). His skim-coating and painting expertise is second to none. The kind treatment of his laborers is truly admirable.

Totally unreliable, did not keep to the original contract, wanted twice as much money as originally agreed upon. Did not finish the job, was very messy, left stains on floors, furniture and curtains. Would never recommend this person.

Rory did a beautiful job painting our entire apartment. He sealed all cracks and made the staircase look beautiful again. He was reliable, pleasant and easily accessible. He was able to give us advice as to how to best address various problems with the apartment's appearance as well as silutions. I highly recommend him for any painting job you may have.

quick and fast and nice guy to work with.

Rory worked through hurricane Sandy and completed the job beautifully. I now have a 60 year old house that looks like new. We changed the color and were grateful for all of Rory's advice. He is a true pro and we love the finished product. His work was quick, neat and exceptional. I'm happy to recomend him highly.

My wife and I are very happy with the exterior painting job on our Larchmont home. Rory is a very straightforward, responsive and knowledgeable guy. He insisted on meeting in person to go over the details of the job before providing an estimate for the work. He listened to our concerns, and showed a great attention to detail in laying out the scope. The price was excellent. We were extremely pleased with the work-ethic and quality of work. Even before I hired Mr. O' Flynn to paint my co-op unit, I was very impressed. He responded promptly to my Service Magic request, then once he was in my unit he had a great eye for detail and made suggestions that I ultimately agreed with. He painted my entire unit, except for my bedroom. His prep work (plastering, filling pin holes, smoothing cracks, etc) on my walls and doors was great. I am so pleased with the finished product and plan to call him back to paint my bedroom.
