"As December is a very busy time of year for us, it is possible there was an oversight in responding to this inquiry, or an email delivery issue occurred that we were unaware of, for which we sincerely apologize. In order not to put undue pressure on our customers, many of whom are dealing with a stressful situation when they contact us, we do not typically call to follow up on the estimates that we provide. Rather, we allow our customers time to review the information and discuss it with family members if needed. It is our goal to offer the highest customer service, and we regret if we did not uphold our high standards in this case. If our services are needed at any time, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to rectify the situation."
major spill from a cesspool line. A few years back one tenant upgraded his property and put in a new waste line to the
pool. That line burst and spilled raw sewage into my basement. The tenant next door complained of the odor and when I went down into the basement space I discovered that it was filled with sewage, a class three Biohazard. Because of how the lease was written it was my responsibility. I was devastated because even though I may own the property I still had limited financial resources to deal with a major spill like this. I also feared that one of my tenants would leave his store because of the biohazard.
I got a plumber to fix the leak (more like a waterfall) and started to clean up the spill. As I worked, I realized that I could not legally dispose of the waste. I then called a cesspool pumper and together with two workers got the bulk of the liquid waste taken away. I still had a foot of smelly, contaminated sludge and sand on the floor that had to be removed. I did not know what to do. In my anxious state I couldn?t sleep and by some happenstance I saw the advertisement for ITS, Island Trauma Services
on one of my cable channels. The ad said that they would clean up any environmental spill (they also do crime scene clean
up). I called the number on the TV, 855-872-8624, and because it was the middle of the night, I left a message. Doug Baruchin, the owner, called me back and said that he and his crew would be at the store early the following morning.
He and his crew were there before I was and they were incredibly professional in their white Environmental clean-up suits and masks to protect themselves. The work was backbreaking. He told me that he would clean up the spill and deal with all Federal and local Health Department regulations regarding the spill. He assured me that he would meet or exceed Town and County regulations. To make the crisis even more bearable he even called my insurance company and dealt directly with them sending them pictures and explaining what had occurred. I felt that all issues related with the cleanup were in his hands and that he took charge and dealt with the problem legally and ethically. I became so calm. The job lasted a few days and he finished by spraying an environmentally ?friendly? chemical that made the area safe from future mold or other possible toxic build-up. I felt safe and even a little smug for discovering them. I would recommend Island Trauma Services, Inc. and their President, Doug Baruchin without hesitation.

These are very nice people and so competent. They assessed the job, provided a comprehensive, detailed, written estimate, came on time, did more than expected, kept reassuring me all was going well, saved me some money and smiled through the whole process. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have work of this nature performed in their home or business.
