I have an electric range. I have had it for about 5 years. A few nights ago the lights went out and all the breakers were tripped. I had an electrician come out and he was concerned because it had actually tripped the main breaker. The oven broke and this blew the power to the entire house. The electrician stated further that something must have blown up with the oven. This could have caused a house fire and is very dangerous. I have contacted them and they offered me a 10% rebate on a new stove, after speaking with three people they finally offered to pay for the part and not the service. I feel that this bigger issue and possibly a manufacturer defect that they should address. They should at least pay for the service.
