Kevin returned all phone calls in a reasonable time frame. He provided a quote that was nearly a thousand dollars less, even after we asked if he could use his excavator to remove some unsightly bushes near the dig sight. He was very helpful, and professional. Due to the heavy shale content (it was well known for the area we live in) he wrote in the contract there would be an additional fee if the use of a jackhammer was required. I know he wasn't jerking us around when his excavator LIFTED off the ground while attempting to dig the trench. The dig took a few hours longer than he anticipated, but there was no additional charge for it. The additional charge for the jackhammering was approximately 200 dollars, less than the cost he proposed to restore the driveway that he had to dig through to install the water line.
In the end, his final cost was approximately $500.00 lower than the lowest estimate we received, and we were very satisfied with his work.
