Liberty Safes Of New York

During the first week of January my wife and I went to several big-box stores and locksmith/dealers to look at fireproof safes. Burglaries, occurring both day and night, are on the increase in my neighborhood and we didn't want to have to worry about our valuables every time we left the house.  We inspected many different makes and models and nothing really impressed us.  About to give up, I remembered seeing a TV commercial for the Liberty Safe Company in Wyandanch, NY.  We took a ride to their showroom, which was  in the middle of an industrial area, and we were totally surprised .  They had more than two dozen safes on display and actually had a crowd of people ahead of us vying to buy a safe.  We passed the time looking at the different sizes and models and we were very impressed with the quality, features, warranty and prices of their safes.  We decided right then and there that we were buying a safe before leaving.
     Our turn came and we were assisted by Sales Representative Donna. She is friendly, knowledgeable and totally professional.  We made our best deal and arranged for delivery on Wednesday the following week.  Wednesday came and the deliverymen arrived on time.  Unfortunately it was pouring rain.  The men waited but the rain wasn't stopping. They asked if we would mind if they came back on Friday as the rain made the lawn soft and the stairs slippery.  We said of course not and so, on Friday the men returned at the scheduled time.  This time it was dry and cold out so the lawn was solid.  They took less than an hour and actually made it look easy to move across 90' of lawn, down the stairs and anchor the safe to the floor against the wall. They used plywood sheets so they didn't damage the grass, and furniture pads so the safe wasn't scratched.  They were true professionals and were friendly and courteous as well.
     We have had our safe for two weeks now and couldn't be more pleased.  It holds our jewelery, firearms, and irreplaceable documents and still has plenty of room to spare.  We bought the Franklin Series Model 25 Safe.  It is really more safe than we actually needed in terms of its' "fire and pry-open" rating, but there's no such thing as "too much peace of mind".
     We have recommended Donna and Liberty Safes of NY to family and friends, and our only regret is that we didn't purchase this safe 20 years ago when we first moved into our home.
