The woodworking was overall of excellent quality. The final finish on the wood is somewhat less than satisfactory. However, this is perhaps because he chose to use a ''liquid sander'' rather than the traditional 000 steel wool. Mr. Goode had excellent design ideas and was amenable to our suggestions, as well. His craftsmanship is unquestionable. However, the work took an inexcusably long time. About twice as long as it should have taken. He would show up when it seemed that the whim took him, then ''disappear'' for days or weeks, while we lived with our entire kitchen in boxes in the living room. Also, although we paid on a ''time and materials'' basis, and he did not keep detailed records of either. At each installment, he promised to keep better records ''next time'', but it never worked out that way. I do not think we were cheated, but an itemized bill would have been more businesslike and reassuring.
Description of Work: This carpenter and his helper constructed kitchen cabinets and doors from oak. Some were new and some were re-configurations of existing cabinets.
