The owner of this company is a great person, very nice to talk to but he seem to get so big so fast it might have caught up with him. We hope that they get a chance to regroup and go out and make up for what things happened.
The date was set and they came and all seemed good except there was no wood to cut and replace the section that was bad. The team lead guy that arrived was fine but said he didn't have that information so they were only going to do the job that they were scheduled to do.
So I left messages and texts with Todd (the owner I assume) at 716-444-7663 and he was really great. He came out and he looked at what wasn't done and said he would take care of it and schedule them.
We waited and nothing happened.
Then we had a HUGE rain storm and water was flowing in the sky light. We waited and waited for a response and all the sudden as we are getting ready to leave for a wedding this truck starts backing in. He told us they were there to fix the roof and he didn't care that we had a wedding we could either have it done now or not have it done. So we had to wait to leave for the wedding. The guys were really really mad and mean to us about it. And I have to say I was really mad that they came without any contact and it affected us going to a wedding. It took then under and hour but we were really late for the wedding reception. It was really awful to arrive that late but for me it is more rude to not show up after you said you were coming and all of our kids were already taken to the sitter.
So they still did not fix the bad section. So over the next year or more we kept trying to call and text and finally a guy came out and said yes we are going to take care of everything and took pictures and everything and say how we had damage from the pipe at the top of the roof that had not been sealed and the bad section. He said "We will get someone right in here to fix it and do the drywall too".
We never heard from them again. We called and left messages. We text. We sent letters...
It has been a couple years and still not fixed nor a refund.
Really said because I did not want to put this on here. I really waited wanting them to do the right thing. It is so said. The excuse the one guy gave was that they hire so many other companies out that they are not sure everything that is going on. I said well then they should not take on that many jobs.
We are still looking for them to do the right thing.
The crew members argued all day outside our windows, dropping the "F" bomb and other swear words all day. I have a home office and a 3 year old son so this language was truly unappreciated. They smoked on our property throwing their cigarette butts on our lawn. One of the crew came up to me husband and I quote word for word " I gotta p***, can I use your bathroom?" They left shingle wrappers in our tree branches and other debris that blew up against our fence.
Before they were finished my husband found an area on the roof where the shingles were not even nailed to anything as they sheeted over a broken rafter, so when they nailed the shingles it just pushed the decking down making a "dip" in the roof's exterior and shingles that floated. We texted photos of this to a supervisor, one of the crew went up in the attic and did nothing to correct it. My husband ended up fixing it himself.
The vendor did give us 10% off and a couple hundred in free gutters but it was like pulling teeth to get them to do the work. We didn't want our roof put on in November. We wanted it put on in warmer weather so it would get a good seal. We wanted them to stick to their contract of 6-8 weeks. It appears they over-booked as weather was not an issue; a rainy day here and there should not have pushed it back five weeks.
We would not recommend them, we would not use them again. We should have done better research before signing with them. They had the lowest bid and it is true - you get what you pay for.
