O'Grady Roofing Services

This person Shannon O'Grady owner of O'Grady Roofing Serivces took a $1200.00 check as downpayment from my elderly mother on Nov 18th 2013. He was to bring over all the materials on the 22nd of November 2013 and start the work on the 23 of November 2013. This never happened and he put off coming to do the job, givng many excuses to myself Louis her son and my elderly mother. This went on for a couple of weeks. During this time period he did show up unexpectedly and did bring over some materials, when asked about the others he said he has them on his truck etc. He promised several start dates and this never happened. My elderly 89 y/o mother who lives alone on a fixed income decided to cancel the job. I informed Shannon O'Grady of this and asked him to return the $1200.00 to my elderly mother. He said he would do the work but again gave many excuses to why he had not come over etc. He finally did agree to give the money back but he said that we would have to wait for it. I informed him he needed to return the money to my elderly mother asap. He was ruid and unporfessional on the telephone and argued with myself. He did show up unexpectedly to get his small amount of materials form our garge in which he left. Shannon O'Grady was angry and upset when he came over to get his materials. He acted unprofessional and rude and called my mother, my brother and myself all crazy people and even used profanity which I will not write. He said I should have never dealth with you crazy people in the first palce. He aslo said he had a couple of othert issues like this in the past. He took his materials and left saying you will get your money back and never gave a time frame etc. During this whole time my elderly 89 y/o mother was worried sick and it ruined her Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. I had to get the Attorney Generals Office involved as well as the Better Business Bureau to help assist in this matter. I also filed a complaint on the website called People Claim. The Attorney Generals Officde wrote to letters on behalf of my mothe in which Shannon O'Grady never responded to. The Better Business Bureau also sent Shannon O'Grady letters and phone calls to help. Shannon O"Grady only responde once to the BBB. He said to them he would only pay my elderly mother $450.00 for all his trouble. Needless to say I was upset to hear of that and told the BBB this was not exceptable and he needed to return the entire amount asap. I finally had to persue in samll Claims Court on behalf of my elderly mother. The Court date was April 7th 2014. We had to wait all this time. Shannon O'Grady did agree to the Judge to pay my elderly mother her $1200.00 back plus the $20.00 court filing fee. He had a court ordered judgment to pay back this amount on that day and he was givne 30 days to do so. I called Shannon O'Grady on the 30th day May 7th 2014. He again started to argue with me on the phone and told me on May 7th I have till 1159 pm to pay the money. This never occured. He has a judgment from the court in which he told the Judge he would pay back the money. Shannon O'Grady has not done so as of yet and now I had to go back down to city court and they informed me to get the City Marshal involved to help get this person Shannon O'Grady to pay back the money he owes. I also again contacted the Attorney Generals Office and the BBB again to re-open the case against Shannon O'Grady of O'Gardy Roofing Services. This situation has caused undue hardhsip and misery for my elderly 89 y/o mother. I can't believe this person can get away with taking my elderly mothers money with no consequenes. He has court ordered judgement against him. This perosn Shannon O'Grady is is very unpofessional and his behaviors were very rude inperson and over the telephone and needs to have his business license taken away. He should not even have a business as he has no conscious if he can take and eldderly persons money and have no remorse or feelings. I don't want anyone else to get taken advantage of especially the elderly!
