i have used stephen pedi twice.
the first time--last summer--i found him thru a discount coupon. he ended up providing me with 4 remote-controlled shades for french doors/side panels. he was pleasant to work with, helpful in making sure i found what i needed, and let me know about manufacturer promotions that made a big difference in price for me.
because that first experience was so good, i called him again (march 2013) about providing another set of blinds for a rather tricky situation. i also needed repair of a much older--but quite expensive--hunter douglas double-shade set-up that i hoped he would be able to do something about.
as it turned out, in spite of the huge inventory to which he has access, his suppliers do not manufacture what i need. he was more than patient in helping me look thru all the possibilities, and then gave me good advice about alternatives.
most remarkable, however, was the fact that he spent TWO HOURS repairing the older h-d blinds (quite complicated to do), and then when he was finished, absolutely refused to be paid for his time because he had done work for me before. and this after he knew that i was unlikely actually to make the purchase that i had called him for owing to the unavailability of the particular solution i sought.
this is the kind of gesture (made by the owner/principal) that makes me a customer for life (along with the high quality of work, his responsiveness, his fairness, and his honesty)...and i could not recommend him more highly.

The blind was installed today in a very professional manner. It is beautiful and I am very satisfied.

I can only say very positive things regarding my experience with Stephen. He is professional, personable, detail-oriented and maticulous with his work. He has a great eye for color. His measurements were exact and my window treatments fit perfectly. I worked with him from start to finish as he came to my home armed with many design books. He patiently worked with me to find which options looked best for all the rooms in my home. His prices were very reasonable. I liked that he provided one-stop shopping and that all the services were personally completed by himself. I have recommended Stephen several times and will continue to do so.
