Response from Red Star Electric Corp.
This review was submitted 1 year after the job was completed so we had to go back in our records to respond. We also contacted the customer to get a first hand account. The customer lives in a condo complex that we are very familiar with that has aluminum wiring which can be very dangerous due to problems with melting wiring and fires that can start inside the walls. He had several outlets that were not working and we knew right away that the wiring needed cooper tailing (which CAN prevent aluminum wiring for melting but is not a guarantee (the best remedy for aluminum wiring is to remove it but that obviously can be very costly). The customer gave us a count of 20 for the whole apt. and we sent him a price per each outlet. When the work was performed we found 2 locations where melting occurred and came very close to causing a fire. We completed the work and the final count was 24. He agreed to pay for additional outlets, we cleaned up and moved all the furniture back in place. When we spoke to the customer he reminded us that we did have to cancel once due to one of our techs calling in sick that day. We take full responsibility for any inconvenience we caused the customer and unfortunately we are not always perfect. However we have grown since this job and now have a larger staff, more trucks and can deal with a tech calling in sick at the last minute much better then in the past.100% customer satisfaction is always our goal and you can see that from past reviews. Our techs are uniformed, background checked, drug tested and under go constant training for customer service and we are always striving to be better. We will defend ourselves when we feel a review is unfair but will also not make excuses and take full responsibility when it falls on our shoulders.
