I needed an old awning removed and replaced on the second floor of my home. This meant that a 15' awning had to be lifted approximately 25 feet onto an upper level deck as it was not possible to bring the unit through the home. It went very well. Andy and PJ arrived on time, were efficient and pleasant, and reviewed the installation process before starting the project. I have used Mr. Handyman before and have always been happy with their services.

Jan was prompt and worked through the fixes quickly and professionally. He even patched up a couple of drywall holes we had, as well. I would definitely recommend Jan for his work quality and ability to answer any questions I had. I would use Mr. Handyman for any future projects or repairs I need.

Initially the owner stated it shouldn’t cost more than $300. After a worker came by to repair a part of the water heater, he initially bought a piece that was too large, the Home Depot is across the street so he needed to make two trips. After he left I received a $700 invoice. I called the owner to try and get some rational reason why. He then explained it was an hourly charge and intial service charge which he didn’t disclose initially. After a very uncomfortable conversation, he reduced it by $100 he was nice enough not to charge me for the time his worker spent going back and forth getting the wrong piece at Home Depot. Unbelievable. To make matters worse a week later the water heater was leaking again and he said the additional work would cost me another $300. I am a new home owner and I’m sure I have been hustled a couple of times but never to this magnitude. Please be careful with this company and make sure you get everything in writing before they start the work. I was naive and got hustled.
