Eddie's furniture repair

We communicated via text messages to set up the appointment, he came when he said he did and performed excellent work.

For several years I have tried to have these repairs done. Everyone I've called who's looked at them said that they couldn't be fixed. Finally I found Eddie on Angie's List and decided to give him a call. He looked at the broken chair and gouged out wood in the staircase and knew right away what to do. He gave me a price, said he doesn't accept checks (probably got burned too many times) which I said was fine, and he got to work. He has lots of special tools and materials, including epoxies, glues, stain pens, finishes, etc. etc. Worked very quickly and skillfully - really a combination of art and science, particularly in the case of the gouged veneer on the staircase.
He gave me a four-month warranty on the chair repair.
I'm going to have him come back and do some other floor repairs that I was not sure was even possible.

Does the job and goes above and beyond to assure satisfaction. Works magic with newer epoxies and stains. Will repair on site. Very happy!

His work was of good quality and he kept to his quote. He explained what he did.

Eddie came to the house to do the repairs. He spent 3-4 hours working on them one Saturday then took the most broken one home with him to work on during the week. He came back for another 2 hours to finish the additional ones. He glued things, used additional screws to prevent the swaying in the frame, and cut down some sharp screws that could poke up. Everything seems quite solid. In addition, without me asking for it, he offered us a 1 year warranty on all of the chairs - on the the day he came back. In other words, he had the job, would have gotten his deserved money anyway, and he still volunteered the warranty because he wanted to back up his work. He clearly takes pride in the quality of his work and was very friendly and talkative while here. He even left clamps on the chairs while the glue dries overnight and will come back tomorrow (a third trip to the house) to collect them. And his price was incredibly reasonable - just look at the price and hours described above. I'm going to have him come back to touch up some chips along the edges of our dining room table and coffee table. I highly recommend him. In fact, my mother-in-law is planning to use him for repairs to furniture in her antique business. He does not do full stripping and refinishing, but all types of other furniture repair are his expertise he told me.
