Andron Construction

It went very badly leaving me to find another contractor to complete the work and redo most of his work. 
His prices are very high compared to the quality of his work. He uses inferior tools and materials and appears to lack basic construction skills and techniques such as using a level or a laser measuring tool, taking adequate measurements prior to cutting or building, etc.. I am not sure he knows how to read construction drawings. Everything he built is crooked or warped. He said I was being 'too exacting' when I pointed out his errors.
Quick to anger when confronted with his mistakes, he came up with ridiculous excuses for his inferior workmanship. A few examples include the following: 1) Veneer plywood cannot be cut without splitting the veneer; 2) The hinges were to blame for a improperly hung door that wouldn't stay open; 3) When I had to replace a new furnace filter that was full of demolition debris, he said it wasn't because he didn't cover the wall register in the room he was working in but rather that the debris had found its way downstairs and gotten into the return registers there (somehow without landing on anything else along the way)!
Bottom line: If you want to overpay for less than stellar work and don't know the difference between good and poor construction, this guy's for you.
