Recently moved to the northern woods in Maine and needed Internet Service. Our previous carrier did not service this far north so we were worried any service would be risky. We had closed on the house however were still traveling back and forth slowly moving in. On one of those day trips, while on the road we received a call from the tech covering our area. He stated that he was scheduled to come 4 days later however was near by and able to hook up our modem if we'd like the services earlier. He had installed the actual cable in our new home and stated that he knew it was up to date. We shared that we were away for the day and asked if he could leave the modem and we would hook it up. He gave us contact #'s to call in the event we ran into problems. We were so pleased. We got our internet almost a week ahead of schedule and knew who to call directly if we needed assistance. Great service from the initial phone call requesting info and rates. So glad we went with Fairpoint Communications.
Description of Work: Delivery of a Wireless Modem. No installation needed as previous home owner's wiring was up to date and we were knowledgeable in setting the equipment up.

They are always helpful when I call and can usually fix things.If not over the phone, the tech comes and fixes things outside.

It fixed the problem for about two days. We then began having outages lasting anywhere from five minutes to an hour or more. The outages occurred almost every day of the week. I answered yes to tho the question, and quot;Would you use this provider in the future?and quot; as there is no other provider available in the remote region of Maine where I reside. If there were, I would most certainly switch.
Description of Work: Replaced cable line from our split-off from the main line.
