Unfortunately the day they were to come to do the job - they came and the bucket didn't work on the truck due to a valve or freezing temps. but there response was prompt I called on day at 3pm they sent someone by 4pm and booked the job the next morn due to the dangerous situation . As stated above they arrived by 7am and truck didn't work they came back the next day and did the job Thank God!! The job took all day - the 2 men never even broke for lunch !! Very pleased and will use them again

What I like is they're reliable and send an arborist who answers all my questions.  They're right up front and knowledgeable and I trust them in overseeing the work and their abilities.  I trust their abilities and have had them perform work while I was away on a significantly unstable tree that was uprooted during Hurricane Sandy.  They're very responsive and their estimates are very detailed and even include the diameter of the branches they're cutting.  Their prices are not the cheapest but they are fair and they stick to their prices and work with you on what you want to spend.

It went very well.  They came at the appointed time and did an excellent job with cleaning up after themselves.  Two different consultants came out and were both very professional, punctual and asked us what we wanted done.  They were very knowledgeable.  Their prices were comparable.

I was very pleased with them and found them to be quite knowledgeable.  They are on the higher end price-wise.  I respect their information and opinions.  Their expertise is in analying problems with trees and bushes.  I have had my Gardner also look at the trees and leaves.

The service was excellent and at a good price.  We were really happy with their work.

What I liked is they weren't overly aggressive.  They seemed knowledgeable and thorough.  There were issues with follow-up communication with an employee who is no longer there.  They were recommended by a friend and the price was fine.

Although there was some phone tag in setting up the date, the job was done well and the clean up was very good. They trimmed two trees at the curb that were damaged by Sandy.  I have used them for years now and have been satisfied on each occasion.

Trimmed a large tree on my backyard neighbors property that was diseased and looked like it might fall in my yard.  Did a great job in cutting it back and explained the disease the tree had.  Did the job days after the estimate.  Worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up everything.  Did more cutting back then we had discussed to make sure it wasn't over my property.  Thought the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely use Bartlett again.  

This is a professional team of workers who knew what hey were doing! Although they were pricey, I thought they were worth it, given the proximity to my home I needed to be sure it would be done right. It was. Will use again; have already recommended to two of my neighbors!

Rob from Bartlett Tree Experts was a pleasure to work with, he came out right away to give us an estimate and then came back before the work was done when another question came up about a separate tree. The work was expensive, but they did a great job and really cleaned up after themselves. I wasn't able to be home during the job, but have had no issues at all. Would definitely hire again.

The job (done on Magnolia Drive, NHP)  is not finished yet (some roots need to be chainsawed) . It involved removing a double-trunk oak tree with a diameter of over 5 feet. However, they were very competent doing so and  use a crane to lift the branches and trunk over the roof of the house (this part was done at beg of March!).  It took them a bit long to come and grind the stump of the tree, done  April 12, 2013 (after a bit of coaxing on our part), but it was done  professionally even though it was difficult to bring the machine in the backyard because of the narrowness of the path leading to it.
 I have used Bartlett on other occasion (cabling and pruning of oak trees) and have always been please with their professionalism and courtesy although they are on a high side for pricing, I would recommend them highly and would use them again.

During Tropical Storm Sandy, a large oak tree fell across my property, flattening my detached garage and resting on my house.  It was very difficult to find someone available after the storm to remove the tree, but I couldn't begin repairs on my house and garage until the tree was taken care of.  As a large company, Bartlett had resources available that smaller companies didn't have, and they had the heavy equipment needed for this complicated job.  The representative, Don Kwarta, was very responsive to my situation and he arranged for crews to be brought in from out of state to tackle the removal.  Because the tree was resting against the house and was under weight and tension, the crews had to carefully think each cut.  They were able to get the tree off of the house without incurring any additional damage.  Mr. Kwarta and the Bartlett crew did an exceptional job, and I was lucky to have hired them.

Overall the services are okay.

The trees around my home were getting overgrown & encroaching on the roof.  There were also 3 hydrangeas that were unruly with few flowers.  Justin came on time for the estimate and supplied a proposal.  My job got on the calendar soon after I sent in the signed proposal.  The yard is looking good now.  The pear and plum were shaped up nicely, and branches grazing the roof have been cleared away. 
In my opinion, this is a professional and reliable tree company.

The arborist came by and gave us an estimate and explained all of the work that would be done. He was courteous and professional, and knew his stuff. He never pressured the sale, and gave me a typed estimate on the spot. He returned to do the work with his staff and did an excellent job. They cleaned up beautifully ,and the work was perfect.

They know trees. Overall, they are excellent.

We had great results.  Most of the tree services in the area were more concerned with removing trees, Bartlett was more concerned with preserving them - feeding and pruning.  They wanted to maintain the health of the trees rather than just removing.  It is pricey but they do come through.  You just go to their website and put in your zip code and they direct you from there.

I used them because of their reputation.  They did a very good job.  The workers were good.  The price was reasonable.

They were excellent; they were very professional.  The price seems to be standard around here.  If you’re going to have an enormous storm that lands a tree on your house, it is really helpful to have used the service before in order to get them to come and do the work when they are so swamped with business.  It’s good to have a work-provided relationship.
