They never got them each time. I called an all they could do was send them out the next day but the occasion had already passed. Don't use this service. My sister had the same experience.

I placed an order on May 10th 2007 to be delivered to the recipients office on May 11th. I was told the order was guaranteed delivery between 8am and 7pm Fri the 11th. I then asked if it could be before 5pm. She said she would put it in special notes. On Fri the 11th I called to have the order postponed until Monday because the recipient did not return to the office on Fri. I was told it was "already on the truck". Since it was my error I called her office to arrange for someone to sign for the flowers and take them to her. To my surprise I was told by her staff member they had been delivered Thurs the 10th! When I called 1800Flowers to resolve this error I was told the only thing they could do was to offer me 20% off my next order! She said she was sorry and was trying to help me but the notes said Thurs was ok. I explained I wouldn't have flowers delivered to someone I knew wasn't there on Thurs. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told "my supervisor is too busy".

Everything went very smoothly. The online order process was seamless. I received an email confirmation. Due to a huge snow storm, school was canceled. I had to change my delivery date with less than 24 hour notice. Both the online 'change order' submission form and the customer service phone line took excellent care of handling the change. I received email confirmations all along the way. The balloons and cookies were delivered promptly the next day and the recipient just absolutely loved both items. Cookies received great reviews. The balloons were in terrific shape. They really took care to make an a very appealing arrangement and to make the delivery in a most timely manner in the midst of a snow storm, the place of delivery being unexpectedly closed, and then making the delivery the very next opportunity.

I usually have good experiences with 1-800-Flowers.com. In this case, they could not arrange for the correct flower display that I chose, but notified me that they were going to send a better one. Delivery was timely and the price wasn't too bad. I received a discount through an offer with my frequent flier program. My mother was very happy with the result!

FLOWERS ARE ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL. ONE THING TO BE AWARE OF THOUGH IS THE DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS. SOMETIMES FLOWERS COME VIA FEDEX WHICH I MAY NOT ALWAYS WANT, OTHER TIMES SUBSTITUTE FLOWERS WERE CHOSEN THAT REALLY DID NOT CLOSELY RESEMBLE MY CHOICE. IT'S A MIX BAG, CONVENIENCE VS. CONSISTENCY.
