"Hi Cathy, point for point: Never said it was getting late when you asked a question. I do not treat customers that way; this was an opening, we do not wash mesh safety covers; this was an opening, start system and shock pool to kill biomass, dont clean pool at this stage. I offered to do the initial cleaning service when algae killed; Bottom drain pipe was detached by a union and plugged, could not be hooked up without taking an algae bath, offered to do it when we came back for initial cleaning and water clean; The valve in the garage... you know if a valve is not tight enough if it leaks. It leaked, we tightened it; Hope in the future you have a better understanding of an opening and what to expect from a pool service."
"Hi Anne, I am sorry that you dont understand the situation that created the mineral scaling in your pool. I explained it to the man that maintains your pool, and so did the manufacturer's rep. Scaling is what happens when ph, total alkalinity and calcium are not kept in balance. It happens when ph is too high relative to calcium levels which caused calcium to come out of solution and cause scaling deposits on the plaster which is exactly what happened. There is no other cause. I looked at some of the paper work from the pool store that does your testing and it repeatedly showed correcting high ph. The fact that you kept correcting it after days of having high ph did not prevent the scaling. Contrary to telling you you are on your own,I had the manufacturers representative from SGM, the plaster manufacturer, come to your pool and explain all of this to you. He gave specific recommendations as to products that you could use to help reduce the mineral deposits that developed on your plaster after two years of the water chemistry maintenance that the pool was getting. If you need help with acquiring any of the specific chemicals the rep recommended to you are their application I will be happy to help."
