Concrete Specialists

We had our driveway expanded by Concrete Specialists at our residence. The service delivered was not professional in that the yard was left a mess along with the street in front of our house, and they splattered (and left) concrete on the existing driveway. Also, we purchased the crew pizza for lunch as a kind gesture, which they ended up sitting on their coolers and eating while drinking on the job. We did not drive on the new driveway until after 2 weeks, as directed. After approximately a month of having the new section of the driveway completed by Concrete Specialists, it cracked. It was obvious that not enough stone was put down prior to pouring the concrete because when you stepped on the section after it cracked it would lift. We contacted the company, and the owner, Randy Schmidt, said that they would correct the issue. Concrete Specialists came out to address the issue when we were not home and without our authorization, and what they did to take care of the crack left the driveway looking worse than it did with the crack. Instead of removing the section of the driveway expansion that cracked and re-pouring, they attempted to fill the crack after cutting in to the concrete to create dust to patch it with. When contacting the owner for information on what they did to address the crack in our new driveway, he was extremely rude, unprofessional and dismissive of our concerns. Not only does it now look worse than before it cracked, the section of the driveway has re-cracked after the concrete caulk was applied and Concrete Specialists has made no attempts to properly resolve, and have said that this is all "standard". The only solution that we would be satisfied with is if the section of the driveway is removed and re-poured. I do not recommend this company as a result of their extreme lack of professionalism and unwillingness to stand behind their work.
