Although we try and provide our customers with the most saving’s, there are many factors that could play into this. Some of these factors include the number of modules we are able to effectively install, your specific utility requirements, and the overall cost of the project provides us with a margin to work with. On the rescheduled day Verengo did show up at 7:30am and the installation crew was great at explainng everything. After looking over my property Verengo told me they have to DIG UP MY YARD to run wires from my house to the Detached garage which was 70 feet away from the Inverters. Verengo told me that they will cover all costs to repair/replace everything that they dig up and will also replace the grass in my yard. I said OK to digging up my yard and making a 70' trench to run their wires to the Garage. The installation was completed in 2 1/2 days. They told me that a City inspector has to come within a few days to inspect the wires they ran in the Trench before the trench can be covered back up. I waited 2 days and I did not receive any updates from Verengo. I called my Verengo project manager "Madeline" in CALIFORNIA and she said she will call me back and she never did. I called the next day because there was a huge trench in my yard and I have little kids so I wanted Verengo to send an inspector and cover the Trench before someone gets hurt. I called Verengo and Madeline several times and left messages but and no one called me back. I called again and Madeline told me that she would schedule inspection and would get back to me and she never did. I called my Sales Rep and he spoke to his manager(and now its week 2 after installation) and still no response from Verengo to schedule an inspection. Frustrated after 3 weeks I called the COO of Verengo and someone finally contacted me to schedule an inspection. The City Inspector came to look at the Trench(after 4 weeks) and he told us that he was contacted by Verengo just 2 days ago (This is after 4 weeks with a 70 feet long Trench in my yard near my pool with little Kids. Amazing Customer Service...NOT!!!). After the inspection was done, Verengo did nothing on their end to Contact me to cover the Trench. I called Verengo 3 times before someone was scheduled to come out and cover the Trench. For 2 Summer months, when the kids were out of school, my backyard was a Big MESS!!!!
It is now 2 months into an Installation (that they promised would take just 3 days to complete), I still don't have my $100 Gift Card that they promised for the original no-show appointment that I mentioned in the beginning. I had to call Verengo Several times before they finally came to put down new grass and Clean up the yard. I WAS EVEN TOLD BY SEVERAL VERENGO EMPLOYEES THAT MY INSTALLATION PROJECT WAS MANAGED VERY POORLY BY THEIR COMPANY!!! Then one day I get a call from verengo stating that their Electrician needs to come out to inspect the Installation. We setup an appointment. An unfriendly Verengo Electrician showed up, Did work outside our house for a few hours and asked us if he can use the bathroom. We said OK and he did his Business in the bathroom and later when I walked in to the Bathroom, he made a mess all over the toilet and left without cleaining it (Amazing...Isn't it).
After Several FRUSTRATING phone calls to Verengo Customer Service, I was told that they are waiting for City Inspection to be completed so my Solar system can be turned on. I waited weeks and no calls or updates from Verengo. I called the City Inspector and he told me that he did not receive any notification for an Inspection on my home from Verengo. I called Verengo and told them what I was told by the City Inspector and the person on the phone tells me that Verengo has all the Paperwork needed to turn my system on and I can go outside and turn my Solar System ON. AMAZING isn't it!!!!!! If I didnt call them, I wouldn't have known that they have all the paperwork to get my system up and running. After 4 months from installation I can finally Turn on my Solar System.
VERENGO has the absolute worst CUSTOMER SERVICE in the Industry. They never FOLLOW UP or UPDATE you Before, During or after Installation. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND VERENGO for SOLAR INSTALLATION. VERENGO has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NEVER UPDATE YOU ON THE PROGRESS OF YOUR INSTALLATION and YOU HAVE TO DO ALL THE WORK FOR THEM to GET YOUR SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING. Their CUSTOMER SERVICE and PROJECT Managers are in CALIFORNIA. They are in a Different time zone. They have no Clue about your neighborhood and local laws. Stay away from VERENGO!!!!
