Beware of this contractor. We hired him to renovate our large apartment & he was a disaster. He lied on numerous occasions (he told us he had done "plenty" of apartments in New York, he said he had ordered items and completed items for us when he had not even begun them, & the list goes on & on). More importantly, he embezzled money from us and didn't pay the subcontractors. We paid him over 100% of the costs of the project (according to our bid set & to his contract) when it was only 60% done & he claimed he "ran out of money." He took a VERY large profit for himself despite not finishing our project or paying the subcontractors. Every single subcontractor complained about him & his lack of professionalism & expertise & told us we never should have hired him. The work he did do was shoddy & we had to spend a lot of money for people to come in and fix his mistakes. He is unethical, incompetent, & should not be allowed to do business in NY. He mixes his personal expenses with his business account & we found numerous payments had been made for his personal expenses from the money we gave him for our contract & that was supposed to be used towards our apartment.
