"Sir, I believe you have our company confused with another cleaning service. We have never offered groupon deals."
"The member called me for the cleaning of her mother’s house on 10/4/11. She spoke first with my receptionist and I then called her back. We discussed the cleaning of the house. She estimated the square footage was around 3500 sq. ft. We spoke about washing walls, floors, bathrooms, refrigerator, cabinets, cleaning out fireplace and wood stove, 2 porches, attic etc. A whole house, top to bottom clean which included 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, hallways, and a stairway. According to the real estate information the first floor was 2400 square feet, which with the finished basement the same it was a total of 4800 square feet to be cleaned. This is a large house. It really needed a thorough clean as it had not been done in quite some time. A quick sweep is far from clean. We discussed the price of $30 per hour per cleaner. We arrived the first day early afternoon and worked on the main floor with a crew of 5 workers for 4 hours at $150/hour. At 6:30 we stopped knowing that we had to come back as there was a painter down stairs and we wouldn’t have been able to clean it in one day anyway. When I spoke to Pat, I made her aware that I would work her into the schedule. We were there four times and we thought we were finished. The realtor called and asked us to go back and clean the windows on the porch and garage. So we did! The windows and screens were very dirty so we cleaned them. As far as the windows, we did not clean them all. We were asked to clean the porch and garage windows. However, we did in fact clean the window above the kitchen sink and the window in the bathroom because they were so dirty. The time we spent just washing walls was 30 hours, not to mention the kitchen (6 hours), the bathrooms (2 hours each x 3 was 6 hours). The floors needed a scrubbing, not just a damp mop with the upstairs being hardwood and the downstairs had linoleum, slate and concrete. Also the attic was cleaned. The member called me on Friday evening on 10/21/11 questioning what we did I explained to her and she said, “You did a great job! Thank you!” On the following Tuesday she called me again. I had my phone forwarded and was in my car. She was hostile and shouting at me. She wanted a breakdown of time, I tried to explain that I wasn’t in the office and she kept going on and on. Finally, I did hang up. I spoke with the realtor who said she was angry with her also because she paid me, but she had made previous arrangements with the realtor to do this. I was going to mail the bill to her mother who owns the house! I’m sure she would appreciate the work that we did. We worked hard and did a great job. Many people think you can do this type of cleaning in a short period of time. It was my understanding that she wanted it “Done Right,” not a lousy job. If we didn’t do a good job, and the price was less, she still would be complaining about that too! The realtor said it was beautiful and that we “Did what needed to be done.” We also cleaned the realtor’s house last week! I never discussed a total as I explained to her that I wasn’t sure how long it would take."
