This company really helped us out during these hot summer days and our central AC not working. Another company quoted us 2131 dollars to replace a EMC motor. I felt that was not right. I called Metro and their staff was extremely friendly, helpful and on top of everything. They replaced my EMC asap and for a great price of 475.00. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

I want to share my horrible experience with Metro Heating. I had them come in several times in the last month to repair my heat in my sunroom. They had improperly repaired it the original time and have not been able to properly diagnose the issue. They tried to charge me again for the labor and when I questioned it the owner got nasty with me and threatened to undo the work. I told him not to threaten me or he would lose my business. He then instructed his worker to remove my thermostat so the heat no longer works, which he did. I'm appalled at how this company operates and I will be contacting the better business bureau but wanted to let everyone know about my experience.

"Unfortunately the house that the [Member Name Removed]'s bought has numerous problems so i can understand her frustration. We were originally hired and paid by the attorney handling the sale so repair a number of problems with the air conditioning that the Home Inspection Engineer uncovered. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] called us to repair 2 problems no heat in the Basement or the Sunroom. On our first visit we rewired the Basement heat with is working and we found that someone had disconnected a heating wire in the crawlspace for the Sunroom, I reconnected it and the heat started to work. We charged her 148.50 plus tax for 1 man 1.5 hours even though we had 2 men there. A couple of days later Mrs. [Member Name Removed] complained that the heat in the sunroom would not turn off, we went back and determined that the wire between thermostat and the air handler in the crawls space was shorted and needed to be replaced which explains why the previous owner had someone disconnect the wire. We suggested that she have her electrician [Member Information Removed] the new wiring and we did not charge her for the visit. On Friday we went to her home because she claimed that she had an electrician replace the wiring and he told her that it was a heating problem. We sent 2 men and found that the wiring had not been done, we ran new wiring from the Sunroom to the air handler and replaced the thermostat because the existing one was in poor condition. The heat was working again and we billed her for 1 man 2 hours and $89.00 for a digital programmable thermostat. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] requested to speak to me about the bill. I explained what was done and why there would be a charge and even offered to discount it $100 dollars but she insisted that she wouldn't pay and threatened to report us to the Better Business Bureau and bad mouth us on the internet. I instructed my men to remove the new thermostat, reinstall her existing thermostat and leave. In 26 years of business we've never had a complaint against us so, if there's anyone she should be bad mouthing or filing a complaint against it's the electrician that charged her $200.00 for nothing"

We have service contracts for the Navien boiler and the central air, and also have 3 ductless units. The boiler was serviced in the fall and today the ac units were readied for use. As always the technicians were very friendly and efficient. It is nice to do business with such a  professional staff.

We are very happy with the replacement of our CAC by Metro Heating and Air Conditioning.  Joe Buccino (owner) was one of the few contractors we interviewed who suggested increasing the system capacity to account for the cathedral ceilings that had been added after the installation of the original CAC, and he was the only one to point out that the size of our CAC would require the installation of a second return (or a HEPA filter, but we chose the additional return).
Metro worked with us on the scheduling of the job, in order to come in at the right time among several projects we were doing.  Once on the job, John and his crew were timely and responsive to all of our questions.  Although we were told that the job would take two days, it went to a third, but not because of any problems.  Rather, I am convinced that they would not leave until we had the best result possible.  That included relocation of the air handler to a more accessible part of the attic, complete replacement of the line set (other contractors wanted to use the old copper), and running drain lines into the exterior rain gutters.  At the end, as we walked through the job, they addressed and fixed several long-standing nuisances (e.g. loose and rattling ceiling registers, and loose register boxes).  We are very happy with the job.

During the shopping phase of this project the company owner, Joe was always prompt, professional and full of information about the equipment, available rebates and timelines.  I especially liked that he did the manual J calculation of air conditioning requirements and was one of the only contractors to explain why we didn't need the biggest and best equipment to cool our modest house.  Metro's job estimate was not the lowest priced, but was close, and we decided to go with them because of the obvious knowledge of the owner, and his willingness to explain his recommendations in detail. On the day that the job began a crew of the most competent, professional and friendly workers descended on the house, and despite the potential for creating a mess, at the end of each day the house was somehow restored to its pristine condition until the next morning.  The men were extraordinarily accommodating.  For example, when installing an outlet in the boiler room they suggested to me that they could install a quad-outlet if that would be more convenient for us, so that we could plug in other appliances.  This was a repeated theme throughout the week - they consistently wanted to do a job that would work for us.  This was a completely first-class experience in every respect, and I would not hesitate to use this company again.

The experience with Metro was great, I worked with Joe B the owner.    He was punctual when I first requested the estimate and provided a detailed estimate.   He was also helpful in identifying the rebates and tax credits that were available.   The installation was done professionally and the a/c unit works great.    I'm sure the hot water heater and furnace will work well once I need to use them.    Highly recommend working with this vendor.

Joe B. accommodated us by coming on a Saturday.  He was professional, knowledgeable and his pricing was reasonable.  We also had an electrician here at the same time doing work.  Joe B. offered to see if he had a part in his truck that was needed to be replaced in our whole house fan.  It didn't work out but he definitely gave us the feeling that Joe is a go to guy.  As we haven't made a final decision yet on how much we want done we cannot comment on his work.  But Metro AC and Joe are definitely on the short list.

The head of the company, Joe Buccino, came to give an estimate.   He arrived promptly at the given appointment time and was very courteous and professioal.    He did a complete check of my existing unit, the size of my house and my electrical panel and gave me an asssessment of what I needed and the cost.   I had other companies that gave me estimates and did not do a complete check of what I needed and tried to sell me more than I needed.     Metro's crew arrived promptly at the given time and was also very courteous and professional.   They did a professional job and thoroughly cleaned up after they finished.   I was very satisfied with Metro Heating and Air and would highly recommend them.
