I always considered myself able enough but when it came to some 2â x4â LVP, and a massive room of glue down sheet vinyl I quickly found myself in over my head. As soon as I contacted Tom he was able to meet with me to discuss the project and completely set my mind at ease and. He was able to complete the job faster than I could have ever imagined and was gracious, respectful and CLEAN. Seeing a motivated honest young man conduct himself so professionally was a breath of fresh air, to say the least. I have already handed his card out to my neighbors who were all impressed with the work as well!

I purchased a co-op and needed to have the existing floor replaced. I wanted to tear up the existing floor (not hardwood) and replace with rich 2.25â red oak hardwood. As I am not someone who is experienced with flooring or much renovation work, I needed to find someone who could help me with this. This is how I became connected with Thomas from Island Flooring & Renovation â and it was one of the best decisions I have made for my renovation project. From the very beginning, Thomas was friendly, warm, receptive, and trustworthy â all of the qualities I was looking for in the professionals I selected for my project. Thomas got right to work, evaluating the old floor and what may be underneath it. Nervous about the whole project, Thomas was able to reassure me that regardless of what problems he may encounter â he will get the job done. Thomas kept his word. He got right to work and tore up the old floor, and revealed the hard wood underneath. Together, we examined the existing hardwood to determine if it would be a good substrate to refinish. Thomas could have taken this opportunity to sell me on refinish services â but he was honest with me. The floor had been damaged throughout the previous owners â to the point where, even if it had been refinished, it would not look the way I would want. I appreciated his honesty â and we proceeded with the new hardwood. Thomas used premium vapor/noise barrier products to help ensure my downstairs neighbor wouldnâ t hear me walking around all day. The work was done professionally, quickly, and with the highest level of quality and care. Each day he worked â he would clean up at the end of the day, which I appreciated a lot. Also, he was very friendly to my neighbors â which I really appreciated. My floor is beautiful, and itâ s one of my favorite parts of my renovation. I will also have Thomas and his team to thank for this!

Thomas was very professional and knowledgeable about his trade. The floors came out wonderful and was finished in a very timely manner. He made repairs to the subfloor, removed the old carpet and installed finished product along with transitions. He was very helpful in deciding which floor would be suitable for our living space in terms of durability. Would definitely recommend. Pricing was extremely reasonable and finished product looks great.
