Ray was everything. If you have a critter removal need, you've found your contact. He came immediately the day we called him and evaluated the situation (raccoons on our property) in a Raccoon Dundee style, which made us laugh! He has decades of experience in wildlife removal and it shows. He was efficient and told us exactly where and how many raccoons were on our roof and how long they'd been there. He gave us two options for removal and explained the benefits and explanation for using each one. One route involved a lower fee and focused on tactically chasing the animals away rather than trapping. We chose this option and so far the animals have not returned. Ray called us within a week to check in on the situation. We learned so much from this experience about raccoon behavior - it was an education combined with a removal! Call Ray, he's THE BEST!

After a phone conversation including what we were experiencing with plants and flower beds being torn up, Ray explained what the process would include and all associated costs, Ray took a look at my property and  explained there were probably a lot more then the 3 to 5 raccoons I believed were involved. He set up traps and we had the first raccoon caged in a matter of hours. Ray picked the animal up the next morning and set up a total of three traps. We then trapped either two or three raccoons the next several nights. Total animals removed...17. It appears as though we managed to remove the raccoons doing the damage, although I've come to understand that we "reduced the population only".

You couldn't ask for more than the service Ray provides. He would arrive at the agreed upon time every morning to remove the animals caught and reset the traps. We discussed options and costs associated with service extensions, and he was willing to modify usual services to accommodate my needs.

Having to go through this isn't a pleasant experience, but dealing with a professional such as Ray made  me realize there are still craftsmen/technicans that understand their business and are willing to work with their customers to assure a positive outcome.

I found Ray and Catch-A-Critter Inc on Angie's List. All of his reviews were excellent so I gave him a call. We spoke for about 20 minutes about two incidents where I saw raccoons by my shed about 30 minutes before the sunset. I figured they were living close since they felt comfortable coming out this early on numerous occasions. He agreed. An hour later Ray was at my house inspecting my yard. He showed me 2 small entry/exit points by my shed and 1 big one. He set two traps and told me he would be back in the morning. The next morning the traps were empty. He suggested that I buy 3/4and quot; plywood to seal up the big access point. I dug about 10 inches deep, used deck screws to attach the plywood to my shed and back filled. The next morning I came home from work at about 4am, looked out my back window and saw the big Mother raccoon and one of her young circling around the two cages which each had a baby crying inside. I waited until 7am and left a voicemail for Ray. He called back 5 minutes later and told me he was on his way. He removed the two cages and replaced them with two more. He used garbage bags to seal the two smaller access points. He told me if there is anything still under the shed the bags would be moved. The next morning I came home and the Mom and her last baby were in the same cage. One bag was disturbed, the other in place. He took the raccoons away, replaced the bag and cage. The next morning the cages were empty, bags were undisturbed. I sealed up the two holes with plywood and haven't seen a raccoon since. That was about 3 weeks ago. I mentioned that we had raccoons on our roof last winter and he recommended a heavy duty cage over my attic fan which can be easily opened by a raccoon to allow them a 12 inch hole into my attic. He charged me $150 for the cage which is well worth it. $295 for initial set-up and $50 per Raccoon (which he told me about during our first conversation). ALL WELL WORTH IT. I have a German Shepherd and a 1 year old son. Kind of felt like a prisoner in my home from dusk till dawn. Now I don't. Ray is the man! I called him on a Monday, by Thursday morning my raccoon tenants were gone for good!
I HIGHLY Recommend Ray and Catch-A-Critter!!!!

He came an hour after I called and accessed the damage. Then he set the traps. He came back the next morning and two of the squirrels were in the traps. He reset the traps just in case the other two babies returned. He also cleaned out the nest, and measured to secure up the shed so this won't happen again (hopefully). He returned the following morning , the traps were empty so the other squirrels did not come back and he secured up the shed.

FANTASTIC...VERY PROFESSIONAL..GAVE US AN ESTIMATE OF APPROX $800..WHICH INCLUDED TRAPS, REPAIRS TO HOUSE and VENT COVERS. THE PRICE WAS REDUCED AS THE END. WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN!!! THEY WERE GREAT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!
Upon their arrival they assessed the various situations which we had with squirrel holes in the siding of our home and vent on the side of the house. They definitely said it was squirrels. They set 3 traps on the top of our house and peanuts were placed strategically. They said they would come back the next day to put a plastic bag in the hole of the vent to see if any squirrels are still in the attic and coming out. They also repaired the hole in the side in the of our house and at the other end of the soffit. (They asked if we had our roof repaired which we did as we explained to them we heard critters after the hole in the roof was repaired. They explained that is how they were coming in and out of the house and that since the hole was closed up they had no where to go except to start chewing their way out....which they did.) When they came back on Friday they placed the plastic in the hole and noted that no squirrels were in the trap nor were many of the peanuts gone. They advised that they made metal covers to go over the vent and asked if we wanted them. We said absolutely. They came back on Friday to check the traps and the plastic was not moved again. When they came back on Saturday morning I explained to them that I watched a squirrel jump from our tree to the gutter climb up the side took a peanut and came back down to the tree and went to our neighbors yard. A little later the squirrel was back. Again, I watched it climb up to the roof but this time when he went to get a peanut in the trap he was caught. Since they felt there were no squirrels in our attic (as we haven't heard anything in months - but wanted to be sure since winter was approaching and didn't want them to use our attic as a warm safe haven) they asked if we wanted them to remove the traps. We agreed. They put the new metal covers over the vents on both sides of the house. Upon checking the squirrel that was in the trap they advised that it was a male. They were fantastic..came as promsied..very, very professional.

RAy and his assistant arrived promptly and accessed the situation. He left an estimate and when approved made a second appointment and set the trap to capture the adult raccoon. When she was caught Ray went into the attic and removed the babies. Then he repaired and sealed the roof where it was damaged.

Ray came every week until the rats were gone. He was always punctual, efficient, and pleasant to deal with. When I wasn't hearing noises anymore he closed up all the wholes in our foundation, so that they wouldn't find there way in again. He was very good at communicating what he was doing, and trying other solutions when things didn't work initially.

Ray is very professional and has lots of knowledge about these wild animals. We tried to catch a raccoon that wanted to live in the attic, instead 3 nights in a row a fox got into the trap, which were let free. The good news was from all the sent of the foxes the raccoon decided to leave on it's own. In addition Ray fixed the damage the raccoon did. I can highly recommend this company. The animals are caught in a humane way.Beatrice

I need them back again to pick the raccoons. They were respectful. They explained about what they were going to do. They got the raccoons out but it took them a while. I thought the price was a little high but I didn't shop around. The quality of work was fine.

We had started a project with someone in June which involved leaving the back part of the soffitt open to dry it out. In the interim we began to hear noises up in the attic which we could not explain. I spoke to Ray last Monday and we discussed the issue. On Thursday, he showed up at the house to begin. Upon his discovery, he called me at work to inform me that we had a mom and baby racoons living in our attic. A trap was to catch the mother and by Saturday all the family was captured. What my wife liked is that they were treated humanely and released back into the wild. What I liked is that since we already had all the supplies to seal up the soffit, Ray worked with us and did the work for a very minimal charge as well as sealing any other areas that might invite future invasions. Throughout the entire process he and his helper Henry were professional, likeable, and quite cooperative to work around my schedule. In this day and age, that is a great asset. I look forward to using him again for other services he can provide (Chiminey cap install) and would consult with him on any other work we might need done.

My house is brick on the bottom and siding on the top and there was a gap where the brick meets the siding where my house met the chimney. Starlings took advantage of this gap and built a nest within the outer wall of my house. It was directly above the door to my house and next to where I park my car so there were always bird droppings on my house, walkway, and car. I knew there were babies in there earlier this year and felt badly about having the nest removed while there were babies. Once the activity around the nest died down, I called Catch-A-Critter. I got their answering service and Ray called me back the next day. I explained the situation and he came over the next day to take a look. I was unable to be at home so he called me from my house and explained what was going on and what he proposed to fix it and how much it would cost. He also inspected the rest of my house for other areas of potential problems and found one spot that he said he would also close up to prevent animals getting in there in the future. I gave him the okay and he said he would do it the next day.

Ray came and did the job while I was at work. I was extremely satisfied with the job he did. He removed the nest, filled the gap with foam, and then added cement on the outside to make sure it stayed sealed up. I was impressed with how neat the concrete was. The whole area was clean as a whistle when I came home - no evidence that he, or the birds, were ever there! I am ecstatic to be starling free.

If you have animal pests invading your home, call Ray at Catch-A-Critter. He is professional and polite, calls back and shows up as he promises. And solves the critter problem for a reasonable price.
