Flooded.com

It did not go well. They tore out my beautiful, 50-year old tile floor and replaced it with a new one. Many of the tiles all around the floor came up. People have tripped and gotten hurt because of the tiles that have popped up, and there are small hills and valleys in the floor. They eventually came back out to look at it, and blamed it on the subcontractor that laid the floor. They said that the sub would be responsible for it and would repair it. They got into a fight in my home. Flooded.com sent them a threatening letter stating that the subcontractor would do the work or else risk a lawsuit. He refused, and then Flooded.com came back out with another man, and asserted the blame on moisture in the basement caused by a bathroom leak in the far corner of the house, well away from where many of the tiles have come up. I hired them to remove the moisture in the first place. They got paid, but now my insurance rates are astronomical. I even received a call from the subcontractor stating that the man from Flooded.com was shady and not to be trusted.

They were really excellent. When we had that Sandy storm and they came in, they were very professional and their price was excellent too. Their cost depends on whatever job you are getting done and I had a lot of damage. Their price was very good in comparison to other companies; it was less than half. They were accessible before, during and after the job. They have a very professional and pleasant staff. The quality of the work was exceptional.

On Sept 7, 2012 I received a call from my tenant that my house was leaking from the ceiling.  As it happened the person who owned the upstairs unit refrigerator water line broke, causing a flood.
My tenant told me about a truck she saw called Flooded,com, so I called them for a clean up.  They assured me that they work directly with the insurance company to resolve the problem and I did not need to worry about the cost.  They would take care of the entire process for me.
They did clean up the water, but also began taking off water damaged sheet rock.  I could not be there the entire time but told them to only do what is needed.They assured me not to worry, that everything is according to insurance approval.  When I went to the house the next day , I was shocked to see half my house torn apart.
They continued coming back and tearing apart my walls ceiling.  I had to stop them from tearing up my entire kitchen.
Now, the insurance companies are in discussion as who is responsible as it is a condo.  For this reason flooded.com could not be paid.  The next thing I know is they send me a bill for $18,000 - then without notice they send me a letter that they placed a lien on my house.
They were fully aware that the insurance companies were talking, they also only gave me one phone call requesting the money before placing a lien on my property.
Keep in mind the entire time they assured me that they work directly with the insurance company, that I had nothing to worry about.  I called a private adjuster, and they told me not to use a private adjuster.  The again assured me that they are handling everything for me, and I have nothing to worry about.
I am shocked and consider there behavior criminal.  NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.  I am now investigating all my legal options against them

They've been in business for many years.  My only complaint about them is that they are still trying to push me to buy the carpet from them.  They just finished today.  I would say the service was very good.  I feel they walked me through the process very well.  The only little negative thing is that there were 3 rooms involved, a family room, boiler room and a laundry room.  Everything was piled into the boiler room.  We have a puppy and I just discovered that she was bringing up pieces of sheet rock and it was supposed to be put back into room clean condition.  The other rooms were.  They did take out the piano and some heavier items that we couldn't touch.  In a basement you have everything in there that you're not using, we're going to have to do ourselves and I'm not 100% happy about that.  I was assured everything would be broom clean.  Considering the magnitude of the situation I'm not that mad about it, I  just expected broom clean.  The contract said they were supposed to remove and reset the contents, 2 out of the 3 rooms were done and I have no complaints whatsoever on those.  I am disabled so this will be difficult so I will have to hire people to do this.  When the contractor doesn't do what they say they will do and you've just spent $18,000 that kind of hurts a little bit.  I was definitely over charged.  I'd have to use them again if needed, they are the only game in town.

American Carpet & Restoration did an adequate job for us. They left some scotch guard with us as well. We'll use them again. I'm giving them all "B"s because I just didn't love them or feel very enthusiastic over their work.

AMERICAN CARPET RESTORATIONS IS A VERY GOOD COMPANY. THEY WORK IN A TIMELY FASHION AND DO A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY COME ON TIME AND THEY WORK PROFESSIONALLY. I HAVE USED THEM FOR FIVE YEARS.

AMERICAN CARPET RESTORATION DID A GOOD JOB ON EVERYTHING, BUT THERE WAS ONE STAIN THEY DID NOT GET OUT. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO COME BACK AND TAKE CARE OF IT BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM.

I ONLY HAD ONE ROOM CLEANED BUT I FEEL LIKE THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. THE GUY DID A NICE JOB AND WAS CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE WOOD PART OF MY FLOOR. I LIKED THAT FACT THAT HE ASKED QUESTIONS, NOT JUST CAME IN AND GOT STARTED.

THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. I HAD A FLOOD IN MY HOME AND THIS COMPANY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING. THE STAFF WAS GREAT AT CALMING ME DOWN, EXPLAINING THE SITUATION FOR THE CLEAN UP AND GETTING THE JOB DONE.

AMERICAN CARPET DID A WONDERFUL JOB ON MY CARPETS. THE CARPET IN THE CHILDREN'S PLAY ROOM CAME SURPRISINGLY CLEAN. ALL OF THE CARPET SMELLS INCREDIBLY FRESH AS WELL.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB AND THE CARPETS WERE CLEANED VERY GOOD. I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE WORKERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT WITH THE WORK.

MY ONLY COMPLAINT WITH THIS COMPANY IS THEIR PRICES. THEIR WORK WAS GREAT. I WAS IMPRESSED WHEN THE WORKERS DID NOT TRY TO BELITTLE ME FOR THE MESS THAT THE FLOOD CAUSED. THEY CAME RIGHT AWAY AND WERE EXTREMELY COURTEOUS.

THIS COMPANY DID WONDERS WITH MY OLD CARPET. WHAT EVER SOLUTION THEY USED TO CLEAN THE CARPET, MADE MY CARPET LOOK BRAND NEW. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE OF THE COMPANY.

I WAS GREATLY SATISFIED WITH AMERICAN CARPET. THEY SERVICED SEVERAL ROOM IN THE ENTIRE HOUSE. IT TOOK THEN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO COMPLETE THE TASK. I did NOT FIND ONE SPOT IN MY CARPET.

THIS COMPANY ALWAYS DOES A REALLY GOOD JOB. I ACTUALLY JUST CALLED HIM THIS MORNING TO COME OUT AGAIN. THEY ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND MAKE SURE TO PUT EVERYTHING BACK WHERE IT BELONGS.
