Maxons Restorations, Inc.

It did not go well.  Maxon sent a crew of 3 men who took down the ceiling and replaced it,  but the job took longer than they thought and after working for several days, they left my job to go to another.  They returned about a week later only to leave again without finishing the job.   Once they rescheduled and called 10 minutes before arrival time, to cancel, regardless of the fact that I had taken the day off from work to be there.  To summarize, the job which was started at the end of June wasn't finished until the middle of August.  When they painted the room, one of the workers used an antique chest in the room as a ladder until I saw him doing it.  Also, they missed several spots with the paint and had to come back to touch up.  In the end, the job turned out OK, but the process was dreadful.

I had a flood in the finished basement of my home. The insurance company had Maxon come in to repair the damage. They brought in a Paul Davis Restoration of Waldwick, NJ  to empty the basement, rip up the cemented carpet, take down the wet walls and dry the space out. They did a wonderful job. Then Maxon rebuilt the basement with new dry wall, paint and new carpeting. They did a marvelous job under the guidance of Lou Triscari. The work was done primarily by a gentleman by the name of Sergio. Both of these gentlemen were terrific. It is said that the work ethic and professionalism of today's workers is almost non-existant. Not so with these men. Their word was their bond and their work was excellent. They just asked to be let in at 8 A.M. and be left alone to work. That is exactly what happened. I couldn't recommend them any more highly than I do. In all fairness, USAA, the best insurance carrier, took care of all payments so I had no part in any financial arrangements.
