It went very good. No problems, no complaints or anything like that. He was very good. Everybody has been really good. They came when they said they were going to come, did what they said they were going to do and they were very pleasant when they were here. With all the ice and snow this year, I got no problems. Everything is still there. I have neighbors whose gutters are coming down. The ones that he put up for me is still there. They've survived.

Estimate was fair, came down 5% on the price for senior citizen. We were delayed for a while due to weather constantly backing up their calendar. One guy performed the work and it took a few hours. Installer was clean and arrived promptly. My only objections are these: we ended up paying a higher price because the installer believed we needed an extra downspout or two, and he was also able to equip a part of the roof with a gutter and downspout that was previously left out because it would be too difficult to equip it with a gutter. Installer could do it and it cost extra. Finally, when the installation above my deck was happening, the roof can actually be reached by hand because it's not too high. Even with a ladder I watched as the tech stood on the railing of my brand new deck to reach something, right beside his assembled ladder. As a result of this I think he may have damaged a spindle because it is bent. I see this as negligent and disrespectful, he used a ladder for 99% of the job except for one corner perfectly accessible. Great reviews on Angie's list is why I chose him. Ilene in the Babylon office is very nice and flexible. I'd still recommend although I'll be taking up the deck issue with the owner, Gary.

Everything was pretty good with them. They did a good job. It was okay.

Was very pleased with the work and the estimate, which was literally 20% of the quote from another Angie's List provider.  When I asked if certain work was necessary I was told no, versus the other provider who told me all the extra work that should be done to spruce things up.  My only frustration was the scheduling, as they cannot give a solid appointment, making it difficult when you need approval from your boss to take off from work.  When I called the office to find out why the crew showed up without a phone call, it was pretty obvious there is a disconnect in scheduling.  If you can get past that, you are home free.  As I said, the work was great.  Crew was knowledgable and helpful.  Neighbors also commented on the job.

I had estimated this job in the spring, and never followed through with it.  I called back in September, and Elaine at the office pulled up the old estimate - I added gutters for the shed on, and gave them the go-ahead.  Got the contract via email, signed and faxed it back, and they were there the next day!  Did a great job - everything needed and expected.  
Definitely recommend The Gutter Guy to anyone who needs gutters!

They installed all as expected. Even went the extra and used different connectors to tie into my drywell drains. Everything drains empty after rain no low spots excellent ! The down side , if you have a brick or stone home. . . they use a Remington/ramset to shoot the nails through the straps into the brick to secure the leaders. Not cosmetically appealing . . .nails half sticking out with orange rings around them that are impossible to remove to replace with anchors and screws the way it should have been done. .

I wasn't available during that Saturday because I went to my girl's recital and he actually stood an hour waiting for me to get back. I thought that was very nice of him. He answered all my questions and he said he was going to work on getting me on schedule sooner rather than later. It just happened that I got a call the following day and in two days, they came out to replace the gutters. I thought the price was reasonable and I even thought it was going to be more expensive. The gutters are still up and water's flowing directly through it and I don't see anything overflowing. So far, it has been good. They were very professional. The guys who put it up had questions and they replaced some items that were rotted. They were able to give me options of what I could and could not do.

Our first contact with The Gutter Guy was with their Office Manager, Elaine. She set up an appointment for the owner, Gary Zarza, to come to my house and scope out the job. Gary showed up at the appointed time and measured, diagramed and photographed the prospective job. He is a very nice person. He explained the options for five or six inch gutters and rectangular or round leaders. Gary also explained that they use top grade Aluminum in the thickest gauge available. Their gutters are all seamless. I asked Gary about the difference between 5" and 6" gutters along with a bunch of other questions. Gary patiently answered all of my questions and recommended options for placement of the leaders to disguise their presence as much as possible. Previously the house was sided with white vinyl and it had 5" gutters and the common rectangular leaders. In the remodel we are going to a Cypress colored shingle and we are using a ton of Certainteed Vinyl "Restoration Millwork" (all very pricey) so the last thing I wanted to do was end up with common pedestrian gutters. Gary explained that from an esthetic point of view, the 6" gutters would look the best because they would fill the entire 6" facia. He also explained that the 6" gutters would be more efficient in removing the largest quantities of rain water and even minor debris so they were the best option from a practical standpoint. Finally, Gary suggested that round leaders would enhance the old fashioned look that our remodel was attempting to capture. When we were done, Gary said that they would provide a proposal that would contain several options: (1) 5" gutters with 2" x 3" rectangular leaders (what we had on the house from our 1991 remodel); (2) 6" gutters with oversized 3"x 4" rectangular leaders; and (3) 6" gutters with 4" round smooth leaders. All options were in White. We opted for the third option which was approximately $600 more expensive than option #1. After the proposal was selected, signed and returned, Elaine advised us to call to schedule installation about a week before the house was ready for the gutter installation. We did so and a two week window for the installation was created. Two days before The Gutter Guy was ready to perform the installation, we received a call from Elaine who advised when Gary's crew would show up. At the appointed time on the appointed day (8/6/14) Gary's two man crew showed up and installed the 6" gutters and round 4" leaders. The installation took about four hours from beginning to completion. Gary's crew handled the clean up and they were neat as a pin in expertly fabricating and installing the seamless 6" gutters. They made some adjustments in placing some of the leaders to account for prospective placement of security cameras. All of the white round leaders were placed against the white Certainteed vinyl 6" Super Corners. Gutters and leaders were installed using hidden brackets. The best part: THE INSTALLATION LOOKS FABULOUS !!!!!!!!! I actually stood in front of my house admiring the look of the gutters and leaders for more than a half hour. The installation looks architecturally impressive and substantial and also totally natural at the same time. The leaders are virtually masked by their placement against the white vinyl Super Corners. My wife and I are so happy that we opted for the 6" gutters and the round 4" leaders. The higher cost is money well spent . In fact, I believe this enhances the value of our house. The Gutter Guy (Gary Zarza, Elaine and the two man crew that handled the installation) was an absolute pleasure to work with and I will, without reservation, recommend their service to my friends and neighbors. The Gutter Guy more than lived up to its well deserved Angie's List reputation. I can't wait for it to rain !!!
