 + -1 moreJohn from Leaksoppers is a breath of fresh air. He is knowledgeable, helpful and honest. He is completely punctual and efficient with his estimates, explanations and repair work. He instantly provides a trustworthy relationship and is willing to explain every aspect of the work he is going to do for the most reasonable price. I cannot recommend him more! The only problem is that, after Hurricane Sandy, he is too busy to do things immediately, but with service like his, it is not surprising, and he is definitely worth the wait. He was conscientious in updating the time frame that he could come. He is very organized in scheduling the appointments, and I never at any time felt that my job was not important to him. THIS IS YOUR MAN!!

 + -1 moreI called Leak Stoppers because we had had them work on the house earlier in 2012. I did write a report then, so I'm sure you could look that up, since that was more extensive than this job. We were not sure if we were going to have to put a whole new roof on since it is about time to. However, after the owner of Leak Stoppers came out and checked it out, it was only a matter of replacing the lost shingles. Yeah! They did a great job matching the other tiles and fixed it almost immediately. We've had no further leaking or any problems at all. This is a very professional company with polite and knowledgeable people and I would recommend them to anyone who needs help for any leaking problem!!
Description of Work: We had shingles blow off in a storm and water riding down and coming in behind the crown molding.

 + -1 moreAfter Sandy Storm we had a good deal of roof damage due to a fallen tree. Jon came over and took dozens of pictures, explained everything in detail and gave me an estimate. On one portion of the house there were two layers of roofing. They were completely removed right down to the rafters. New roof went up in about 3 days. They were careful of the surrounding grounds and cleaned up every day before they left.

 + -1 moreAfter 3 years of water leaking into my living room whenever there's "sideways rain" (rain with strong winds) and after 3 years of contractors coming out and "guessing" what the issue was (its the roof, its the siding..we have to redo both to make sure...3K-5K in estimates)...I was sick of all the uncertainty and lack of assurances in case it happens again. I called the guys at leak stoppers and they felt they knew exactly what my issue was before they came out to the house. When John came to the house he assured me it was the siding and not the roof. The house was just 5 years old and he could see they did not install aprons or proper channels under windows (excuse me if I am not using the exact terminology here). We agreed on a price (hiring them waives the inspection/estimate visit) and they started in when they promised. It took most of the day to repair the issue and I haven't had a leak since. I spoke with Matt and he assured me (in writing) I have a 10 year warranty with them in case of any leaks from this repair job. THAT is what made me go with them. They rock on Angie's list and now I see first hand why. A man is nothing without his reputation, and these guys have a stellar one.
Description of Work: Repaired faulty siding that allowed rain water to enter LR. Removed siding, backing, paper, insulation. Installed new paper, metal aprons and proper channels. replaced existing siding. Cleaned up nicely.

 + 0 moreI contacted Leak Stoppers due to two leaks that appeared after a strong wind storm and hard rain. John, the owner, showed up on the scheduled time, described his company and then put up a ladder and climbed onto our roof. John not only checked the spots where we had leaks but also identified two other issues. He photographed the problem parts of the roof and in minutes upon coming down, he showed be the pictures of the problems on his iPad. He also recommended installing some roof vents in our attic area. The price was fair and the work would start within a week. On 01 May, John's crew lead by Matt was on site repairing our roof, sealing the window leak, and sealing to skylights before they started leaking. The crew worked all day replacing a part of the roof and flashing. The crew also installed four attic vents. They then cleaned up the old shingles, flashing, and other debris tossed of the roof. I am satisfied with the work and professionalism of the Leak Stoppers roofing crew.
Description of Work: Inspect a portion of the roof to identify a leak, a window leak, seal two skylights and install attic vents.

 + -1 moreI called Leak Stoppers and left a message. John (the owner) immediately called me back and we set-up a consulation date. For that very same week. After his review of the leaks, he submitted a detailed diagnosis of the issues and the steps needed to fix all the problems. He even went as far as showing us some issues that may occur down the line. He gave us the choice to fix those issue now or wait, totally our call. Once we negotiated a reasonable price for the job (with a discount added) within days John and his crew came in and fixed all the problem areas. This was my first time using a company off of Angie's List (fairly new member) and must say I am extremely satisfied. Leak Stopper did a great job and I will be calling them to fix the other issues discussed down the line. Thank you Leak Stoppers and Angie's List for a great first experience!
Description of Work: Leak Stoppers fixed damage to our roof in two places. This was a roof that was installed 3yrs prior with a 20yr life warranty. The roofers were inexperienced in working on a roof with multiple slopes and different heights. As a result, leaks developed in spots where the roof heights changed. Whenever it would rain, water would drain into the kitchen in several spots.

It was a good thing they came because it rained heavily the day after. They were reliable, honest and did excellent work. Their price was good because I somebody else give me a price that was higher. Right now I don't have any leaks in the roof. They were here on time when they said they would be and are very professional.
Description of Work: I used Leak Stoppers to repair a leak I had in my roof from Hurricane Sandy. They replaced some shingles and sealed up some spots around some vent pipes.

Description of Work: I recieved a estimate of $2,100.00 for a rolled roof over my extension (slightly flat roof). Employee, Brian, came over my house and did the estimate. Brian didn't measure out the roof, I thought that was odd. Talked him down to $1,900.00. Brian said he would put the rolled roof over the existing architecture shingles. The price to remove the shingles and put down the rolled roof was $2,700.00. I didn't know what to do. I asked around and was told, if it was my house I would get the shingles removed before placing down the rolled roof. I was still going to have Leak Stoppers do the roof over the existing shingles. They were going to do the job on 4-5-13. I got a call that morning that it might rain and they had to reschedule. The forecast was for possible showers and it turned out to be a beautiful day. I felt uncomfortable with the RUN AROUND (reasons why they couldn't come) and cancelled the job. I called DONE RITE ROOFING, got an estimate. Done Rite came on 4-9-13 ripped off the shingles put down the rolled roof for $3,000.00. The rain came and there is no leakks! Done Rite has been in bussiness for many years and will guarentee their work. Done Rite provided copies of their insurance and certificate of capital improvements. Leak Stoppers didn't provide copies of insurance or capital improvements with their estimate. I don't think Leak Stoppers will be around too long to guarentee their work! You get what you pay for. Also I am NOT a employee of Done Rite, I am just satisfied with there work. Beware of Leak Stoppers!!!!!
