"In response to the letter we received from Angie's List regarding "Angelica", feline owned by (Member Name) about the service provided by our clinic. (Member Name) has been bringing Angelica to our clinic since October 2006. On January 7, 2011, she was brought in with upper respiratory problems. She was hospitalized and treated with great difficulties due to her aggressive behavior. On May 31, 2011, owner called our office claiming having difficulty with treating Angelica because of aggressive behavior, so I prescribed Baytril 22.7 mg that is to be treated once a day opposed to twice a day. Owner picked up medication 2 days later stating how Angelica tore her apart showing one of our employees her wounds and stated she was afraid of her own cat. On June 10, 2011, (Member Name) brought Angelica in again vomiting and not eating. I hospitalized her giving her antibiotic injection. As the days progressed from 6-11-2011 to 6-25-2011, Angelica allowed less & less treatment till finally on 6-25-2011 we were no longer about to touch her. Her aggressive behavior had worsened to the point that she was attacking through the cage door as employees would walk by or try to treat other animals in cages around her making it very difficult for them to do their jobs. in the interim Angelica has a severe aggressive behavioral problem and it is unfortunate that this situation has come to this point, but every effort has been made to try to rectify this problem without success.
