LOWES

Installation of the microwave and dishwasher went well.  The installer was punctual, professional, and did a good job.  The range and refrigerator were delivered and installed a few weeks later on July 2..  Delivery was three hours after the scheduled time of between 1-4 pm.    Installation did not go well, but Lowes quickly responded to my concerns and sent someone to correct the problem the same day I expressed my concerns to a very nice assistant manager.

My experience with them was awesome. It was great. They were professional and the install was quick. The price was great, for the product. Everything was left the way it was before. There was no mess. It looked very professional.

The first key did not go over so well, but went back in and had them recut the key with the original and it fit like a charm.

They came out as scheduled and the order went through as expected. They were there when they set up the appointment as planned. Everything went very smoothly in that regard. It was a good experience. The person who assisted us in choosing the window was very knowledgeable. He provided the different options and it went very well but I do not know exactly what the pricing of such service goes for.

Windows went in quickly and they worked around our 3 kids and our schedule. They were quick and did a really good job. There was one mix up in the order and a window had to be reordered. It was taken care of without any problems and the install for that window once it came in was timely.

Lowe's were very nice. Very helpful. They were responsive and it was good quality.

They consistently have good service and my experience is positive there.

They got good products and they back them up. They also do install but I did not use them for installation.

They did an excellent job. I first went to another service provider and they were unable to handle the job because it was too much for them. The door entrance was one that they were not used to and they admitted that were not able to handle. When I went to Lowes, they had an excellent installation man who did an excellent job. I thought that the pricing was fair.

Blinds came in a timely manner. Valence did not come with the needed dust cover. Lowes contacted the vendor and the new valence with the dust cover came promptly. Blinds were easy to install. Much better service and price than their competition.

I've used Lowe's for years, but previously only to buy things for the home and projects. I stepped up my involvement in early 2010 because of a large scale condo renovation in Naples, FL. I used both Lowe's and Home Depot as well as numerous independent contractors in my project. Lowes' Strengths: * Great selection of products * Generally high quality (look closely at what you're buying) * Free next day delivery * Decent prices -- lower than any competition on some items -- but you must shop around * Liberal exchange/refund policy * Tenacious employees when you need their help Lowe's Weaknesses: * Their internal "systems" are antiquated and frustrating to their employees and hence to their customers * Communications between Lowes and the contractors they use for fabrication and installation leave something -- sometimes much --to be desired * Lowe's refund system, while it ultimately puts cash or a refund record in your hand at their customer service desk, is tedious and time consuming (this factor matters during a reno, believe me). The bottom line is that I'd use Lowes again. And again. Once you get into the layout of the store (they vary slightly by locatiomn, of course), it's easy to navigate. This is important when you're there nearly every day for a few months. The rhythm of their internal systems, while it leaves much to be desired, is predictable and you can build it into your schedule. HOWEVER, it's sad to say that a customer has to resort to inducing a zen-like meditative state to deal with a business that exists to TAKE HIS MONEY. I once worked for a company about which empolyees regularly remarked (usually at quarterly intervals), "Wow, just think of how much money we'd make if we did it the right way." I think that, privately, that's what a lot of Lowes' employees say, too. This factor is unfortunately pervasive enough to affect the overall competitiveness of American business. Lowes needs to face these uncomfortable facts and exend the resources necessary to solve their systemic issues, since these are solutions which have enormous paybacks. I'm sure their employees will share their frustrations with management and thus help to isolate the problems and design the solutions, since the staff has no hesitation sharing them with an average customer!

I got a lot of value. I got very high quality cabinets with granite tops and fixtures for 3 vanities and 4 sinks. Their price was better than anybody else’s price. They were punctual.

I was very satisfied with the experience. I went to the store to purchase a storm door, and the sales people were very helpful. Next, I set up a delivery and a time for installation, which they were prompt about. Then, the contractor came out and installed the door. It was overall, a pleasant experience.

I had a storm door installed two years ago (not by Lowes). Although well meaning, it was installed incorrectly, resulting in irreparable damage to the frame & core. I then purchased another storm door from Lowes & had their contractor install it. My experience was flawless from beginning to end. The main sales associates I had this time, as well as the cashier, were very knowledgeable throughout the entire process, friendly & helpful. I was most fortunate to have been assigned the employee who won Installer Of The Year Award. He was extremely knowledgeable, prompt, friendly & conscientious. When he was done, he took the time to make added adjustments so that the door was perfectly installed. It was a pleasure dealing with Lowes & the contractor. A great experience. I would definitely hire them again, & recommend them to others.

Lowes contracts out their work. We have used them three times, and we have always been pleased with their work. I would recommend them to others.

Lowes was excellent. I found them to be efficient and the price was right. The windows look great. I would use them again and recommend them.
