Being a small company not only allows us to give you the personal attention you deserve, but also to cut our overhead expenses to give you the most reasonable price while still using the highest quality materials. We partner with you through every step of your project and within your budget, from initial concept, through design, material selection, installation and completion. We have FOUR fully equipped vans with the most updated tools to handle all remodeling projects in a timely and professional manner. The owner, Andy Reynolds, has over 30 years of hands-on experience in design and remodeling and oversees all jobs on a daily basis to personally address any questions or changes you may have. Our craftsmen are full-time employees, not subcontractors, and are paid by the hour, not the job, to ensure the highest quality workmanship. We all take great pride in our work and respect your home, keeping it as clean as possible during your project. Safety is our #1 concern, not only for our employees but also for our customers. Therefore, all tools and debris are cleaned up at the end of each work day. When we start your project we stay until it is completed and you are delighted. For the work he and his crew did, his prices were more than fair. He is a person of high ethical standards whom one can trust and who my wife Alice, and I, after the past few months, now call a good friend.
We received a detailed quote. We reduced the scale of the job after the quote, a made a few changes, but the new cost should have been about $1,200 under the first quote. We found that while the work was excellent, the price was not. The owner seriously and quot;underestimatedand quot; the amount of labor needed to get the job done, and the contract was written on a per-hour charge for labor. When all was said and done, the job looked great, but the contractor's charge was the same as it was before we took away the extras! We tried discussing this with him and he turned very cold and insisted the extra cost was because our walls were more damaged and required more work than he thought.
While we can understand that something can take longer than expected, we expected that a seasoned professional would have quoted the job more accurately than he did. If he had quoted it accurately, we would have known going in to the job how much it was going to cost--25% over the quote is significant.
In addition, in what felt like a spiteful action, when I asked him to return the unused paint and credit us the amount, he said no, it wasn't returnable. He was the one who decided how much paint he needed to buy, and it was his error that resulted in extra unnecessary paint, but we had to pay for his mistake.
Again, great work, good workers, horrible estimate. I'd never hire him again.
The workers were very polite and friendly - they always took the time to speak and to be sure we were happy with the way the work was proceding. Each night, when they wrapped up for the day, they cleaned their work area so well that you couldn't even tell they had been there! We have absolutely no reservations recommending Andy and his crew to tackle projects - no matter how big or small. They far exceeded our expectations.
